there’s probably a good reason this is such a vivid memory 😅😬
I hear that and appreciate you taking the time to read, even if it didn’t land for you!
thanks for reading - I’m glad you were able to connect with it!
✏️ NEW BLOG POST ✏️
I need to be less concerned with being better at writing and more concerned with hitting PUBLISH.
I *think* this is about teaching math.

a screenshot of a book cover titled “What is mathematical logic” showing the several rectangular prisms lined up with a gap such that the shadows create an optical illusion.
this is my favourite cover
lol I actually love this.
thanks for sharing, Karen! nice little nugget.
This was a delight to read 💕
It made me want 2 things:
1️⃣ to be back in 4th grade
2️⃣ to be in Fawn’s class

whoa - nice one little lady!
👋 First blog post in quite a while!

whoa that’s fun!
A math problem stating: Look at the pattern below: 30, 60, 90... If the pattern continues, what will be the 6th number in the pattern? Choose 1 answer, but it’s crossed out to say “Choose every answer” a) 30 b) 180 c) 150 d) 120
A coordinate plane showing the graphs of 3 absolute value functions each passing through the points (1,30), (2,60), and (3,90). the first one also passes through the point (6,30), second one through (6,120) and the third one through (6,150).
inspired by a post from @themathcollective.bsky.social — what if they were ALL correct?
maybe a fun prompt for Algebra 1 teachers teaching absolute value functions 🤔

😅😂
I have to admit I only really picked this form up when I became a teacher.
I love it because I feel like I can create any line I want – particularly useful for creating math art. I wonder if that could be a way in?
everyone needs to hear this, not just today.
keen for tomorrow!
yep! (“f f f” not shown intentionally)

What is the 100th letter in this pattern? a, b b, c c, d d d, e e e …

15 dots in a 5 by 3 array. the first and third dots in the 2nd and 4th rows are white and all the other dots are black.
3 × 5 – 4 = 11
