On Guerrilla Archives in the Disinformation Age How the archival work of librarians and other activists helps preserve more than just history.

With so much media and history vanishing, these kinds of lay archives are essential; if our society is not going to invest in us, we need to invest in ourselves.

A grid of the 12 currently-available colors for the 3D prints in my shop. Each swatch features a sort of round shape with curved lines twisting up the sides, to show off the color and shadows. The colors are: red, pink, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, purple, brown, gray, black, and white.

You can find the d20 earrings here! They're all natural 20s, of course. I have several colors prepped and ready to go now, but I've also listed an option for custom requests from the available colors. Keep in mind, my filament inventory will fluctuate!

This is wonderful stuff. Five stars.

Athough I’ll quibble about the “thousand year old” bit. Keyboard instruments in general, maybe, but the only keyboard that wasn’t an organ came in the 14th century. Don’t try doing this on a clavichord.

Haven’t read anything recently about the overall economic benefit of the NDIS to the Australian economy. Whatever happened with that?

EU’s top court finds Hungary’s anti-LGBTQ+ law in breach of key values ECJ says law passed in 2021 is discriminatory and ‘contrary to the identity of the union’, in early test for new PM

“The EU’s highest court has found Hungary’s anti-LGBTQ+ law to be discriminatory, stigmatising and in breach of basic democratic values…”

This is a crucial decision. The court rejected the political claim that LGBTQ+ representation is “propaganda.” We must keep fighting politics that dehumanise us.

I don't think the ALP really cares that much about corruption, grift and fraud, or they would have made the NACC better, or spent less on consultants.

But if that was the real concern, fraud by providers will continue until it's regulated, however many people are the NDIS.

23 hours ago 6 3 1 0

So why not regulate providers rather than PWD, seriously?

Is it because it's easier to discipline/cut off vulnerable people who need help with basic daily functions, that dodgy businesses who will take fraud allegations to court?

23 hours ago 5 3 1 0

Ok Redbridge did research for the ALP that found people would accept cutting supports off from people with disabilities if it was framed as fixing fraud by those PWD

But any fraud is by providers, exploiting PWD

If crooks overcharging for services are the problem, why is this Labor government kicking 160,000 people with disabilities off the NDIS ?

Look, this NDIS stuff. It’s not the recipients. It’s the legalised grift of providers. It’s privatisation for profit. And even with NFP’s it’s still about making profit. It’s yet another thing Labor did without looking critically at the possibility of it going wrong. #NationaliseNDIS

I’m still waiting to see where one example of privatisation has been beneficial. Never ever has it been imho.

'Public health issue': Box jellyfish swarm spotted off WA coast Almost 100 deadly box jellyfish have gathered off a port in WA's north. Scientists say they likely belong to an unnamed species.

This is the same issue trying to get the DSP, and it was just carried across to the NDIS. Governments want easy answers and none of this is easy

20 hours ago 13 4 0 0

The NDIS already struggled with the fact that people had multiple conditions that disabled them, trying to rate just one as severe versus the combined nature of all. I have a friend who is autistic, has c-PTSD and a neurological pain condition, and they don't get that it's an AND issue, not OR

20 hours ago 26 6 1 0

There’s ppl on the NDIS for psychosocial conditions where if the supports are withdrawn they will be a threat themselves & others, costing millions in damages. Framing supports as only open to ppl with “profound disability” exposes the stereotypes and prejudices in public understanding of disability
