I tuned into the triple-i initiative showcase for the new game by Sunset Visitor, which of course opened the stream, revealed to be called Prove You're Human, and it looks amazing.
But the game of the showcase for me was Neverway. Loving the demo and it's my most looked forward game of 2026 now.
The only setting I changed was enabling Decoupled Pitch but even that isn't strictly necessary. It makes it less likely to see the edges of areas where they vanish into nothingness but will also strain your neck during some puzzles looked at from high up. 2/2
Played the People of Note demo, in VR thanks to UEVR. Plays and looks great and just works in VR without the need to adjust configurations. Very good performance thanks to optimization for Steam Deck. 1/2
I got a tip that all over the world, people are using a dead-simple hack to manipulate AI behavior. It turns out changing what AI tells other people can be as easy as writing a blog post *on your own website*
I didn’t believe it, so I decided to test it myself www.bbc.com/future/artic...
There were VR devices before the VB (very expensive, non mass market devices) so it would hardly be the original VR even if it did qualify to be VR. 2/2
It's not VR. Nintendo set out to make a VR device to counter Atari's likewise effort but Atari never released theirs and Nintendo opted against motion sensors so it was just a stationary 3D screen, not VR.
Wii isn't VR either but it's more VR than the Virtual Boy. 1/2
Have you tried adjusting the IPD? It shouldn't hurt, especially if Labo VR was fine for you. If it does, I'd guess you're the outlier, people have been playing it fine.
Criticism and withholding financial support is not bullying. It is pressure. The latter is a neutral term, bullying is inherently moral and denoting evil.
Don't try to normalize evil painting it as a useful and thus good tool. Within reason, pressure is just that, a good tool. Bullying never is.
That's the number of games you get with the Meta Horizon+ subscription service ($8 per month, akin to Playstation+).
The full lineup is much bigger, easily exceeding 1000 games. 6000+ if you include all the previously App Lab titles.
Do you mean RE4 for Quest? It has a teleport option, you should have tried that. If PS5, you could have just played it flat.
I didn't know Twisted Pixel before Wilson's Heart, but I'm glad they made great VR titles like that, Path of the Warrior and Deadpool VR, which are all amazing games.
Without those tons of money they wouldn't have been employed in the first place. And 150 000 people cared to buy a Quest 3 on Amazon in the 4 weeks before christmas last year, more than Switch 2.
That's awful. Sanzaru and Twisted Pixel made many of my favorite VR games; the Asgard's Wrath games in particular filled the shoes of The Legend of Zelda for me after becoming a VR centric gamer.
8. Unless your PC is very powerful, you'll probably need to reduce the resolution scale in the in game options to medium (for a comfortable refresh rate). Everything else can stay as is. 5/5

7. In the Keybinds tab, set load camera 0 and 1 to F1 and F2 key. One camera (the default) is for cutscenes and battles, the other is close up for anything else. You'll probably want to use the default for areas with enemies/frequent battles and for better overview, the close up for towns. 4/5
4. In the Camera tab, enable Decoupled Pitch.
5. In the same tab, save the default camera settings (this includes the world scale set earlier in step 2, so be sure you did that step already.
6. Set the offsets as indicated and save as a second camera. 3/5
3. In the Console/CVars tab, set DepthOfFieldQuality to 0 (this fixes blur in the right eye and in the distance). 2/5
The demo for Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined released a few days ago and it is just gorgeous in UEVR. I made some screenshots for how to configure the mod for best results:
1. Tick show advanced options.
2. In the Unreal tab, set world scale to 10 and enable native stereo fix. 1/5
Maybe a price problem? Meanwhile Meta Quest 3(S) outsold Switch 2 at Amazon in the US during the 4 weeks leading into christmas.

Nothing indicates that being the case. The ending of HL:Alyx already teased Gordon and the crowbar, which according to interviews at the time they couldn't get to work in VR. They also said that with Source 2 finally finished, they wanted to make more HL. Gordon always meant another flat game.
2 Selling at a loss or no profit and getting back the money from expensive accessories and games. This is only possible for closed system. Which PC based hardware is not, obviously.
Two things that enable console hardware prices:
1 Ecomony of scale. If you manufacture millions per quarter you get a better price. Of course you also have to sell those, which is a problem for Xbox nowadays and of course niche products like Steam Deck/Machine/Frame.
Valve confirmed that they are not working on a VR title currently and the way I read it, this means HL"3" will not even be VR optional. Data mining also shows HLX (codename) is a flat game.
So I'm waiting for a VR mod before I get it.
Apple spent $100 billion on AVP? How do you know that?
You're just confusing 100 things and constantly contradict yourself. I agree AR glasses won't replace dedicated VR (also because of FoV, in addition to translucent displays), you contradicted me there too.
Sorry, I'm going to mute you.
Horizon World avatars have been having legs for over two years now. You're living in the past, it seems.

Hololense (a stand-alone AR headset, not a peripheral) did inside-out tracking and hand tracking before Meta Quest and Windows MR headsets were also spun off Hololense tech. These share a lot of common problems and solutions (tracking, UI, interaction methods) and lessons to be learned.
Marvel's Deadpool VR's kinetic combat and genuinely funny dialogue adds to a growing roster of great licensed superhero games that help prove VR games can be more than shallow tie-ins.

Bluesky with its 300 is not a good place to discuss this but you seem very emotional about this and very adamant about some points you believe that clearly contradict the facts. But I won't try to convince you otherwise because it's just inconvenient to do that here.
Notable releases this year include Ghost Town, Reach and Arken Age. Also Dead Pool which releases today. Batman Arkham Shadow, Asgard's Wrath II and Assassin's Creed are big titles from recent years.
