This is strange
In a new story about the CIA case officers who were killed in Mexico, the LA Times repeatedly refers to them as “CIA agents” when they mean CIA officers.
But an agent for CIA is something completely different from a case officer.
It would be like calling an informant an FBI agent.
I mean. They’d be innocent even if they WERE related, because that’s not how guilt works.
I've spent a lot of time in countries where graft and grifting are the norm and I assure you it is worth a truly immense cost to prevent that from taking hold in our society.
You do not want to live in that kind of society.

This seems important. They are not just saying they are self policing but they are bringing receipts. The fact that we’re learning about this from a private company instead of regulators should set off alarm bells.
This is a pitch perfect response from @aoc.bsky.social -- she mocks their whining, she brings the receipts and then she uses this move as a sign that Democrats are moving to offense now.
We have an unhealthy unspoken media agreement in this country that you can’t point out that someone harbors objectively insane, delusional beliefs that should disqualify them from being anywhere near a position of power if said beliefs are colorably linkable to a mainstream religious worldview.
