I found this article really interesting and said things I believe in
‘the function of the artist is to make actual the spiritual.’
Anarchism meant that ‘anybody is able to make anything, particularly a work of art, spontaneously or directly – a primo.’

Clowntural appropriation. No.
Going to see Mastermind tonight. What tipped me into it was @FT review which mentions that he tries to steal four Arthur Dove paintings. First American abstract painter, I always liked him.
I first heard about it when I read 1973 ornithologist Tinbergen’s Nobel lecture. A large portion of his Nobel lecture was on it. He was a student of the technique and credited it with helping his family, stating it was a method with "immense potential" for improving physical and mental health.!!!
More and more people I know seem to have trouble understanding even slight subtleties in text, text messages, articles, emails.
I once tried doing it with someone's guidance. Very difficult.

Tough one.
At MOMA, Jack Whitten’s exhibition. Here are his notes to himself in 1972 about what to avoid in making his abstract art.
It made me go back and listen to “Dixie flyer“ in “land of dreams“ from 1988, which I really liked. Not sarcastic, just very touching.
I recall that. It’s fantastic
I like that line you quoted, it struck me too
