Seems like a real nice guy.

ACTION REQUESTED: Please help by calling to support the Boundary Waters.
The next witness is Aliya Rahman, a U.S. citizen and resident of Minneapolis with autism and a traumatic brain injury, who in January was dragged from her car by immigration agents— four blocks away from where George Floyd was killed—then detained without access to medical care or lawyer.
I had been wondering about Ms. Rahman. I am so glad she is sharing her experience, so much courage from these individuals.
What policies are you championing that will protect and strengthen Black communities? What lessons have you taken from the history of Black people fighting for full citizenship and civil rights?

A video from board-certified ophthalmologist a @glaucomflecken.bsky.social - FYI if you ever get pepper spray somehow onto you, in some manner.
Group wearing blue and holding signs that say messages in support of our community and against ICE and CBP.
A monarch on melting ice
On Fridays we wear blue to stand in solidarity with our Minnesota siblings and make ourselves visible to let our community know where we stand. @educationmn.bsky.social

Is this a prageru thing or like prime time on CBS thing? Or both…
Kristi is a useful idiot. Miller is the one that Dems need to focus on since he seems to be the shadow president.
Is this a protest?
We're mourning yet again in Minnesota — and struggling to square the gut-churning video of Alex Pretti's final moments with official accounts.
I'm teaching techniques of neutralization this term, so I made this quick slide on the DHS statement. Share if it's useful. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/us...
This is correct. This is what everyone needs to hear and know in their hearts, especially right now.
We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights.
There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us.
This is my favorite guide.
ICE attacked an observer after they tailed a group of clergy on a spiritual pilgrimage.
Our digital producer @sam.vp just so happened to be with the clergy on their journey. He spoke with the observer who was attacked and others who witnessed the assault.
Solidarity with Minnesota @educationmn.bsky.social
Tomorrow @aft.org members across the country will show our unity and support for our @educationmn.bsky.social union siblings as they peacefully demonstrate in response to ICE's assault on their communities. Wear blue and post in solidarity. #ICEOUT #ICEOutSchools

His name is Liam Ramos, and he is 5. He was abducted from Minneapolis and trafficked to a detention camp in Texas.
I really hope this IU win closes the portal to the dark place the Cubs opened in 2016
🚨WHOA. The El Paso Medical Examiner says it will rule the death of a 55-year-old Cuban man at ICE's "Camp East Montana" tent camp as a homicide.
He was allegedly choked to death by a guard during a "struggle" after he refused to enter a housing unit without his medications.
Many of us educators are doing what we can to protect our students, families, and community. We are learning how to be monitors since we know this is illegal, inhumane, and a gross human rights violation.
Says the guy that was disrespectful and whose actions killed law enforcement on J6.
This YouGov poll on ICE is really eye-opening. Public opinion has really swung against DHS/ICE and their terror regime.

On the Media's "Breaking News Consumer's Handbook: Protest Edition" 1. TV news will fixate on incidents of violence, even if rare and uncharacteristic of the overall event. 2. Opponents will try to delegitimize protesters by claiming they are "paid" or otherwise dishonest. This is almost always untrue. 3. Measuring crowd size is an imprecise, politicized enterprise. Be skeptical of hard numbers: view aerial photos and compare sources. 4. Beware loaded terms such as "riot" and "rebellion." They often reveal the political leanings of the media outlets using them. 5. Crowds at protests are so diverse that the media can tell any story they want. Beware broad conclusions based on extreme people or events. 6. Coverage often considers whether protesters left a mess, or helped clean up a subtle jab or praise. The truth is somewhere in the middle. 7. Protest coverage tends to be episodic, not long-term. Seek out stories that place events in their larger political and historical context. 8. The media will try to tabulate immediate successes and failures of protests. Remember, their impact may not be felt for years.
Tips for following coverage of protests in Minneapolis:
Hey everybody, it’s the 250th anniversary of Common Sense, whose luminous author Tom Paine, figured centrally in the American Revolution, the Enlightenment and the movement for Democracy still sweeping the Earth. The times hath found us.
New: we've obtained material explaining how an ICE surveillance system, called Webloc, works. Draw shape on a map, see all phones available there, follow them home. All without warrant
