Maybe they're trying not to give his nonsense oxygen. It's the only possible explanation I can think of.

Once in a while it's good to be reminded that there are indeed a few good men in the planet. Usually. When we're not sending them out in space.
Now the other countries in Europe need to squash their Fascist parties as well.
So glad to see someone so beautifully articulate what I think about almost every dayβ¦.
Exactly.
We the people are only tolerating it under the promise of the constitution that our elected reps and senators will take action.
Congratulations! That's outstanding!
The mechanisms are deeply flawed. One telies on a vp and cabinet having actual integrity and the other needs a congress capable of looking past loyalty to (or blackmail from) an individual. We have a perfect storm where we have neither.
What leadership really looks like.
Congress is completely useless at this point.
The fact that Donald Trump didnβt follow through on his threats of committing genocide doesnβt mean we should move on from the fact that he threatened to commit genocide.
It's not enough to say it. We need movement on removing this unfit president from office.
So he says they came to an agreement. Of course he's lying.
What do you think really happened? I mean, we could reasonably assess that he would chicken out, as is his wont. But what precipitated it this time? Threats of the 25th or an impeachment and conviction from Congressional leadership?
I completely agree with Marjorie Taylor Greene is a sentence I never thought I would ever write.
Whatever he does now will damage the US.
So do I. Individually, I think they do. But the guys manning the silos are not allowed to question the order because they're operating on MAD era protocols: A retaliatory strike has to get off before the first wave of enemy missiles hits. This is not retaliatory, obvs, so I don't know.
I have a message for the guy holding the nuclear football.
Don't give it to him tonight. Please. Since we can't count on Congress to do its job, I'm afraid it falls to you to save an entire country full of people from his madness. History will remember you either way. You get to choose how.
He needs to be removed now!!!!! @schumer.senate.gov @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social
The pressure is there, but congress is ignoring it. They've spent the last half century dismantling the mechanisms by which we could truly hold their feet to the fire so now the sunscreen protest events are meaningless.
Congress, what will it take for you to stop him? What is your bright line? Do you have one?
If he's to be believed, he's about to commit genocide, and if he's not to be believed, why the fuck is he not removed under the 25th? If anyone dies tonight because of him, the blood is on your hands.
Ooh, he's so close to getting it.
Older people get assumed to be MAGA all the time, and a lot of us, maybe even the majority as you get into Gen X and elder millennials, are absolutely not. Plus retirees have the time to organize and protest and campaign. The GOP has known this forever and taken advantage of it. We should too.
Every single one of us is or is descended from immigrants, whether we arrived last week or our people crossed the Bering Strait. When we accept that, the word 'immigrant' ceases to carry that outsider connotation and 'they' become part of 'us'.
The countdown to the 25th has begun? Based on what information? Or is that hopeful speculation? If he so much as gets a whiff that his cabinet is going to vote to 25th him, he'll just fire them. So what is your source?
World* because autocorrupt hates me...
Put another way, is the wield going to have to suffer WWIII because so many US politicians have been compromised and are subject to blackmail by the creature that they will not impeach him?
Most of those who aren't sickened by it haven't even heard about it. The information bubbles created by internet socmed algorithms are very strong and resistant to being popped. That applies to everyone, not just the MAGA faithful. We need to be cautious about our own bubbles, too.
(Not aware of any particular abuse from Percy other rs l than trying to take credit for Mary's work, just using him as an example. )
For me, it depends on whether the artist still benefits from their art. Percy Shelley can't use the proceeds from reprints to do harm, so his art is separate from himself. Cool. But living artists who use royalty $ and influence to strip people's freedoms? Nope. I won't even π΄ββ οΈ their stuff.
I'm so sorry my country is having a nervous breakdown right now. π
