Today, we run our yearly Design Talks, getting together from all design pockets at LiU (so Linköping, Norrköping and Stockholm campus) to exchange knowledge and ideas.
After we've read 'In 80 days around the world' my 8y old just remarked that if Phileas Fogg had taken the Deutsche Bahn, he would have needed some extra buffer time 😅

Celebrating 20 years of #designresearch in the #service context!
Today, the research group (Interaction and Service design research group IxS, Linköpings universitet) is celebrate that we've been around for 20 years.
With panel discussion ”have we been served?”
Today, we our on a study trip to TU Delft with our entire PROD - LiU division. Learning about the Industrial Design Engineering BSc program in the morning, and visiting the Dreamhall, Architecture and Mech Eng in different subgroups in the afternoon. Sprinkled with individual research meetings.
This week, we have thesis presentations, with many students closing of their progam at LiU. Such as Adrian and Marcus who are presenting their work on ”upscaling upcycling”.
Not sure that goes for all Swedish universities (in both directions). I do see, in my small bubble, that there is attention for such matters.
And while there is of course some hierarchy, it is very common for professors not being the bosses. Can’t see that happen in Germany.
