This👇🏼. AOC is the only one stating it clearly and plainly. Do I have any faith that the American people will ever elect a woman president someday? No. I hope I’m proven wrong.

Unsurprisingly, the most snowflake-y behavior comes from within the administration.

Trump and the Pope are in irreconcilable conflict for the simple fact that the Pope speaks of Christian virtues and Trump’s entire mode of existing in this world stands in stark opposition to Christian virtues.
But the Pope won’t be perturbed. His message is bigger than Trump, the USA, or politics.

I'm hoping that these are AI bots chatting with each other. No one should live like that.

If they're actual humans, they're just advertising that they're ready for the next snake-oil salesman to come along. Better to be bamboozled than to invest the energy in actual critical thought.

I don't know. If they expected more, you'd think they would have set up more chairs.

Catholic Convert JD Vance Mansplains Theology to the Pope The vice president appears to have a case of Pope Derangement Syndrome.

JD Vance mansplaining Catholic theology to the pope is the ultimate example of how MAGA does not believe in expertise of any sort. Science, medicine, history, and now religious doctrine: all to be manipulated to serve rightwing politics.

See, but we've been here before with the likes of Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Rockefeller and the other Gilded Age robber barons. The cure then is the cure now, busting the monopolies. It will take grass-roots action and politicians with spine. NOT easy, but not impossible.

Sex with a couch... well, I suppose that's just gross.

Exactly. My best problem solving is done when I'm not actively thinking about a thing. I have paint the porch posts and railings next week. It'll be two day of mindless labor. Who knows what problems I'll solve coming out of that.

The best definition I heard is that introverts recharge by being alone and quiet. Extroverts recharge interacting with other people. Both can spend time in each other's world, but need time in their default mode to stay sane.

I'm an introvert married to an extrovert; we need that balance.

"He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send him Matthew 5:9. That's the Chicago Pope way."

He'd just be the face. It would be someone like Peter Thiel pulling the strings. But, yes, his low charisma and high incompetence may yet save us.

Actually, 25 would be pretty scary, since it would mean that JD (or his puppetmaster) was able to orchestrate turning half the cabinet against the boss and convince congress to go along. It would mean that there's something they're more afraid of than the ballot box.

That's why the talk of impeaching or 25'ing his boss doesn't fill me with much hope.

He also help kill the AfD's chances in Germany last year. That was some of his best work.

Does it contain pine nuts, parmesan, and a splash of lemon? If not, it's not really pesto... at least not in my house.

Good for them. I pray that they are successful and that the transition is peaceful.

I very much want the people of the US to want the same thing here. I very much want us to peacefully and forcefully demand better.

I'm partially consoled by the memory that VP JD helped facilitate a sizeable loss for the AfD in Germany last year. I'm hoping he works the same magic for Viktor.

I'd modify that to say that, the money isn't actually there, but I'd rather we exploded out national debt to fund universal health care than impoverish ourselves blowing up girls' schools.

The people of Iran aren’t free. Iran can now charge tolls. The nuclear material sits EXACTLY where it did, in the same amount, since June. The regime is still in place with a younger ayatollah. Iran still was launching missiles, now with more money to rebuild.

Period

The hysterical part is that he's getting pushback from his hand-picked Pentagon press corps. Just imagine if he was in a room with real reporters...

The future of AI won’t just be shaped by engineers—it will be shaped by us. By what we love. By the relationships we prioritize. By the kind of communities we refuse to give up.

So before asking what AI will become, let's ask: what kind of people are we becoming?
