I had a very pleasant time yesterday at a talk by John Garth on Tolkien and the creation of the mythology of Arda. I really appreciated the research he did to identify some of the ways Ireland impacted Tolkien and his works. Go see him if you ever get the chance!

Cork certainly is looking extra pretty

I just finished watching Nosferatu. It’s a wonderful piece of cinematography but the plot is a blatant rip-off of Leslie Nelson’s great work, Dracula: Dead and Loving It.

I’m just glad they had this sign. Otherwise I might have been trapped forever.

I have begun the process of recuperating after another game filled Warpcon. Running the table quiz is always an absolute pleasure and I look forward to another weekend of fun, games and beer next year. But first I need to drink tea and not move for 24 hours.
