We demand that the Council immediately fully suspend the EU–Israel Association Agreement.

But let's be clear: Magyar is no progressive hero. A former insider of Orbán's own cabinet, a conservative politician, Magyar is yet to be tested on his true intentions to democratise Hungary, his respect for human rights and on the direction of Tisza's economic agenda.

The magnitude of the defeat - a landslide - has rattled the Patriots, the extreme right European group and party, of which Fidesz is a member.

The Hungarian people voted to dismantle Fidesz's corrupt system that had thrown them into poverty.

Their resolve also dealt a significant blow to authoritarian populism from MAGA to the Kremlin-aligned networks around Orbán.

Orbán is out. That is great news for democracy.

This International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and every day, we will continue to #FightRacism by opposing racism as we see it.
