Also bothers me when someone is unhappy with decor/menu revamps and the show cues you to believe it's them being afraid/resistant to change when like...yeah man if my restaurant that I put my soul into was radically altered against my vision, I'd be upset too

It is absolutely no fun watching two brothers snap at each other because one is recovering from heroin addiction and stole money from the restaurant, which he deeply regrets and his brother still resents him. Jesus christ guys

And it's not even like...particularly juicy or enioyably messy drama like on other reality shows. It doesn't go big enough and just ends up super depressing and no fun at all? Like these people need therapy not Gordon Ramsay calling them a wanker

Everyone talks about that stuff. But it misses the biggest glaring issue, it feels fake as fuck and scripted when, spoiler alert, 95% of the time the restaurant is failing because owner/chef/owner chef doesn't give a shit any more because of personal issues

Not even gonna mention the ridiculous amount of sound effects, or the fact that it's weird how many people think their food is good when everything is covered in mold and they need angry Scottish man to call them childish names about it

I've been casually watching free Kitchen Nightmares episodes on YouTube and what nobody told me is that after like 3-5 episodes it gets really boring and repetitive
