Watched The Lion In Winter 1968 for the first time. Standout Performances by OToole and Hepburn as Henry Ii and Eleanor. Like Succession but miles better. Great dialogue. Very early film roles for Anthony Hopkins and Timothy Dalton who are also on sparkling form.
A card for my godson Bertie’s 21st birthday. Ink and pen. Happy birthday, Bertie!

Happy Winter Solstice. The light is coming!
This is the Holly King who is now at the peak of his powers. Fortunately his ascension is complete so we can look forward to the emergence of the Oak King and moving into the light.
From my reduction linocut ‘The Holly King versus The Oak King’.
A Frank-tastic time at @liveveryplay.bsky.social Laugh out loud gags with a great cast and songs. Transylvania Mania indeed 😂⚡🔌
Stanley Baxter has died at 99. He was a big part of my TV growing up along with Dave Allen, Dick Emery, Benny Hill, Generation Game and Parky. Probably completely un-PC now. Such a performer and visualist. A telly great. RIP.
From "The Beatles: Rock Band" game intro + outro (2009).
Directed by Pete Candeland at Passion Pictures, with Robert Valley (animation) and Alberto Mielgo (backgrounds).

Carry on Screaming is on TV at the moment. Back in 2017 I was asked to design a small logo for Fenella Fielding’s autobiography. She invited us to her 90th birthday party but we were away on holiday at the time. Sadly she never made it to 91. What a joy it would have been to meet her.
Wonderfully seen! Great reflections - giving me the Blade Runner vibes 👍
An illustrated linocut print inspired by the folk horror film Midsommar next to the block.

We lived in a pub when I was growing up and when I was 3 (50 years ago!) we had someone in to draw the pub for a business card. I sat next to him and watched him draw every line. I was transfixed and it was a huge inspiration for me. I’ve dreamt about owning that drawing for years…
D is for ‘Dr Who: The Daemons’ in my #folkhorroralphabet originally screened in 1971. The episodes feature demons, morris dancers, witches and a maypole; a whole host of folk horror elements to gorge upon.

Next in my linocut #folkhorroralphabet B is for ‘Blood Tea and Red String’ a bewitching stop-motion macabre folktale created by Christiane Cegavske.
