As a 6 year old staying in hospital on my own, I found everything very daunting. So when a nurse asked me if I wanted to "spend a penny" I thought she wanted money.
She was very insistent so I became very worried because I had no money with me and I didn't know why she wanted it.

Illustration of a little girl having a vaccination with a nurse. The title says Measles can make your child seriously unwell. Make sure your child is up to date with their MMR vaccinations
#Measles is highly infectious. One person with measles can infect up to 15 others! The best way to protect against measles and stay safe is to have 2 doses of the MMR vaccine.

Pediatric field notes: How to Examine a Toddler.
1. Move into the child’s airspace while talking
2. Minimize eye contact initially
3. Play/Distract. Assess continuously. Be gentle.
4. Expect tears. Be happy if they don’t happen.
5. High 5 always: EVERY kid knows how!

The fact one researcher can’t get their (true) case report now not labelled false is the icing on the cake.
This is absolutely bonkers.
Like, migraine inducing, let’s go lie down for a while, how did this happen bonkers.
When someone says „Scientists do not want you to know“ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They can’t shut up about what they found out and want you to know.
We know teenagers access medicines over the internet (see bpspubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...) and we know that there are fake/falsified medications that are peddled that way (see www.gov.uk/drug-safety-... so please be careful out there!!
Appraisal done. Reward cake activated!
