Just tried it in Chrome. Looks like it doesn't work there. :(

It definitely works in Safari. Here's an example of the screenshot from your earlier post with text selected, in Safari:

What app are you viewing the image in? There are some (like Slack) where it doesn’t work. It should work in Preview or a Photos for example.

You just open the image and drag the mouse across the text in the image like you were selecting text in a Word doc. Works on iPhone and iPad too.

FYI macOS has that feature built in now - you don’t need a separate app.

Are quotes another thing that Trump’s social media posts have ruined?

Here’s some things that can be done by a party out of power

- file impeachment articles every day in the House

- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee

- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable

I think of the quote “it occurs to me that the best way you hurt rich people is by turning them into poor people” frequently these days.

Given that I still have doctors that send paper bills that have to be paid by check, I’m guessing not any time soon.

Long seen as an affront to dining etiquette, doggy bags may finally become an established part of eating out in France with restaurants across the country now legally obliged to provide them.

It is so funny that the French government had to pass a law about this

This is dorky, but it popped into my head the other day that you could think of social media as turning every political movement into an almost impossible game of "Stag Hunt" in the sense that everyone is tempted to secure a small personal win over remaining in solidarity for a big win.

At the beginning of the pandemic, a guy tried to crash a hijacked train into a boat because he thought all of the Pizzagate babies were in there. One of dozens of things from that year that went basically uncovered outside of my beat.

What did the kids think? Some friends of ours showed it to their kids and they thought it was more funny than scary.

It’s sad that American democracy is being dismantled. It’s embarrassing that it’s a moron like Trump that we let do it.

“Even God Cannot Hear Us Here”: What I Witnessed Inside an ICE Women’s Prison Tufts University doctoral student Rümeysa Öztürk opens up about her 45 days in a South Louisiana processing facility—and the generous and compassionate women she met.

Rümeysa Öztürk — a student kidnapped by the US federal government, held for six weeks in an ICE concentration camp — tells her story by centering the women detained alongside her. The result is heartbreaking, harrowing, enraging, and (at times) hopeful.
