HOW TO LIVE WITH A GHOST: Gothic Horror with Dark Humor and heart. Comps are A House with Good Bones, The September House and The Haunting of Velkwood.
Tess moves into a haunted Victorian with a strict 21 day eviction policy. When a dying neighbor brings muffins, a python and secrets she can't ignore, Tess overstays---and the house locks her in. Escape means solver a 40-year-old mystery buried in her own history, a story she's rewritten in order to survive.
I just finished my final(ish) round of revisions for HOW TO LIVE WITH A GHOST. I'm so excited about it.

If I have to decide on favorites I will never answer this question, so I’ll name a few I’ve loved recently. The Haunting of Velkwood by @gwendolynkiste.bsky.social, The September House by Carissa Orlando and Play Nice by Rachel Harrison. #womeninhorror

Yes please!
ECHOES IN THE LOOP. I love how Eris handles this in snippet below: "He could feel her desperation humming through her like static. Her body was wound tight, pulse elevated, breathing shallow and irregular." #revpitwaiting #revpit
Eris shifted closer, reclining against the pillows, and gently drew her into the warmth of his body. It started unformed, a low note, then another. She felt the hum of his voice in her bones before she heard it with her ears. The sound was tentative at first, seeking. A few wandering notes strung together by instinct. She felt the softening of her jaw, the easing lines between her brows, and he adjusted. Each note shaped itself around her pulse, her breath, her neural patterns. The melody slowed, matching her rhythms. Subtle harmonic intervals wove between the tones, designed to focus her without overwhelming. It was born from her, her physiology, her pain, her need. Her song.

Thank you so much!
ECHOES IN THE LOOP! My own drawing and photography. #RevPit #RevPitWaiting
I would love to be added!
Want to read this!
A little late to this thread! I’m a mother of 3 in Ohio with 3 dogs, a bearded dragon and a ball python. I seem to alternate between gothic horror and near future speculative fiction. I do a bit of drawing as well. So happy to connect with everyone.
This could be an entire series🤔
My #REVPIT is ECHOES IN THE LOOP. Adult #SpecFic. When homicide detective Morgan Faris investigates seven deaths at the abandoned Harrow Institute, she discovers the impossible. The partner synths tied to the victims should have permanently decommissioned within ninety-six minutes. They didn't.
Haunting…or my teenage son?
Did a poltergeist violently open all the cabinet doors and leave small animal bones strewn around the kitchen overnight?
OR did my teenage son inhale a rotisserie chicken after forgetting where we keep the plates?

Two fun chill ladies hanging out in a garden set up for a wedding. Dystopian city in background. Title in bubble letters "WEDDINGS FOR TRADE"
WEDDINGS FOR TRADE 👰🌹
#cozydystopia (yes) #sapphicromance (heck yes)
An event planner, a gardener, a seamstress, and a minister walk into a garden... and then the world ends.
That was 20 years ago, though. Today, it's just the eve of yet another wedding.

Jordan’s fingers reached out tentatively. A hand met hers, warm and steady. Grief rose in her chest. Grief at having lived so long before this moment, so long without this connection. The second heartbeat adjusted until it matched her own. The loop was forming.
