Have you read the first book of Bloodsworn? It looks like they gave you 2&3…if you have, I’d jump in there since it’s finished (unlike Will which I’m currently halfway through)

The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, the Vampire Accountant is laugh out loud and pretty low stakes but still has plot and danger. Great bingeable series free on Audible

Terry Pratchett…doesn’t take much brain space? 🫣🤯 He’s wonderful, delightful, and the stories flow easily but he is above all thoughtful 😄 The one liners and quotable quotes are why I read him

I DNFd it last week because by the time we finally got in the train all I could think was do you have any new ideas? It felt like a mash up of previous characters and story lines

There’s nothing funnier than handing a book to a friend with a smile saying this book is going to wreck you, you’re welcome!

Definitely Bastet and Freya aligned: cats. Also ferns would be cool

The only book I’ve almost thrown *ever * was the third Red Rising book Morningstar. No spoilers, but I was right to be skeptical someone could be that stupid (glad I kept reading)

Reading is the stimulation I need to fill my brain and audiobooks fend off the loneliness of our siloed existence by sharing a book with another human

I love nothing more than to find a word I don’t know. I hate dumbed down things, but it’s also ridiculous when someone is trying too hard and a word doesn’t organically fit the use, like they’re trying to squeeze in a word they looked up, you know?

I read fast personally so I find the ability to speed up narration a godsend or I can’t focus. I’m not sure which is faster because my compression is processing pretty quickly either way
