Low-income families have been hit hardest, with an average loss of $2,100 in purchasing power directly linked to the policy. The affordability crisis they fueled continues to strain household budgets across the country.
1yr after Trump’s 4/2/25, Liberation Day, the data is clear: his tariffs triggered a massive spike in the cost of goods. By 12/25, core goods prices rose 2.0%, while durable goods like appliances jumped 2.1%.
