HATCH is one that i think could give people similar feelings if they saw it on a wider scale. film festivals are really expensive, though! if you wanna contribute to a HATCH festival nest egg (beats you over the head with another egg metaphor), you can @

2 years ago today, the people's joker finally saw its wide release. it made me and so many others feel incredibly seen. i animated a scene for it, and without even meaning to, a lot of these same colors show up in HATCH and my other stuff. i'm the throughline, sure, but maybe transness is too?
CLARIFICATION :
The Trevor Project's hotline will still be live. But basically this means LGBTQ people can no longer be connected to it through the US national 988 suicide prevention hotline.
They will need to be contacted DIRECTLY
So spread this around
They can be texted. They can be called.
With the help of Rachel, Heffer, and Filburt

Ok since I’ve essentially revealed it already.
I am working towards creating a short 2D animated short film about a trans knight couple.

Oh my god.
They removed "transgender" from the page about Trans woman Sylvia Rivera's page at the National Park service.
"Sylvia Rivera began fighting for gay and _____ rights"
WOW.
Apropos of nothing, just thinking about the time I directed a Baymax! episode about periods and we made it gender-inclusive because people do and always have existed outside of the binary or whatever 💅
I was informed that it was very rude to post American Dad designs without posting any Rogers. Fair! I have literally drawn hundreds of Roger designs over the years. It's always a fun part of the job. Here are a few bangers!
Brianne and Leslie are showcasing their Newgrounds "Frontpaged" trophies from 2025 and 2005 on a shelf. The 2005 trophy is a bit old and dusty. Big text reads, "Thanks for the Frontpaged-ing!" A mouse looks on and thinks, "Blam this piece of crap!"
Thank you @newgrounds.com!! 🧡🤍
Putting together a thread of MUTUAL AID resources for anyone affected by the LA fires…drop em in the comments, pinning this post👇👇
An LA organizer I trust shared this General Resource Spreadsheet with me. It includes nonofficial shelters and other resources for people affected by the LA fires.
SoCal friends:
Many animal shelters are overwhelmed from people dropping off beloved pets they can't take with them as they flee. Please consider donating and fostering. Pasadena Humane is one such org. Contact your local animal orgs to see if they need help.

For SoCal friends,
Here is a list of resources for shelter, animal boarding, free items, and distribution hubs. These places can also use donations (e.g., food, water, masks, and blankets). Please consider donating if you can.

"can we make a trans movie"
"we'll see"
*finishes a script and begins auditioning*
"nope don't do it"
5 years later "ok what about a single episode of a series of shorts"
"we'll see"
*completes the storyboard*
"nope don't do it"
it would be better if they just said "no". they want us hoping.
I think I can firmly say that my NDA is up by now but I auditioned for a full-movie version of this story over half a decade ago.
Lemme rephrase that -
Pixar have been trying to get this story out for well over half a decade and Disney have been blocking them. let it sink in
On one hand, I don't think Scott Pilgrim Takes Off NEEDED a second season as it was pretty great as a standalone story.
On the other hand, that means no more new Roxy Richter stories and that's a tragedy for every gay.
glad to see more people on here! here's somewhat of an introductory post: I am a stop motion animator (or I like to think myself as) and vfx/general art guy, here is my stopmotion western film from a couple years ago.

For Transgender Day of Remembrance, we'll be sharing tributes to the transgender people we know of whose lives have been taken due to anti-transgender violence. It should be noted that these crimes often are misreported, go underreported, or are not reported at all. #TDOR

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence.
More than ever, we must stand by our trans family and support them, hold space for them, and insist the scapegoating and targeting stop.
Now.
This short was wonderful! I shared ANCHORED on my Queer Animation website last year. I plan on adding JAMIE'S POND either this or next year as well
This is only a handful of how many wonderful queer creatives are directing films. Now more than ever, it is important to support queer creatives and share these and the many other wonderful trans works out there!
