Let me add a personal item to this thread. I think I ruptured my Achilles tendon Sunday. I have not seen a doctor, because I do not have insurance, because the Republicans priced me out of my plan. I was healthy at the time. They do not care about prices, only whether policy can control people.

This is amazing.

This actually illustrates a very important point about tariffs: that the cost imposed on consumers comes from the reduction in supply and increase in price, and only indirectly from the tariff fee itself. Regardless of "who pays", it is effectively a transfer of wealth from consumers to producers.
