9 years ago today, I decided that I was done with alcohol. I drank ½ a beer and felt too sick to finish. I have many health issues and my body just can't tolerate booze. I don’t usually celebrate my milestones because my reason for sobriety is medical, but that changes today.

It's a bear head attached to a wooden ring. The bear is mostly brown with a white muzzle.

I made a teddy bear teether 🐻 The ring is hard wood, so it's safe for babies to chew.

The (free) pattern is Wrapped in Lace Wedding Chocker by Kirsten Holloway Designs. I used crochet thread and a 1.5 mm hook.

This is my favorite project from this past holiday season. I crocheted chokers for my friend and me. I made her matching earrings to go with it, but unfortunately those pictures came out blurry 🙃

Crochet Grogu! He's a little green alien with big eyes and ears for maximum cuteness. He's wearing a tan robe.

The holidays are finally over, so I can post all of the presents I crocheted! This is a baby Grogu I crocheted for my friend who's a huge Star Wars fan. I followed the pattern "Grogu" by Les Amusements d'Em and then free handed the eyes.

Eight pointed star crocheted with thread and a 1.5 mm hook. The base is a gold color with a shiny metallic strand throughout.

I decided to crochet my tree topper this year. The metallic thread made it more difficult to stand upright, so I had to stabilize it with floral wire.

The bones of this project were “Fairy Queen Coat” by Earth Tricks. Admittedly, I frogged every part of this project and remade it to my preferences. I also added the belt that I'm quite proud of. It's a braided cable reduced to a belt!

Oh no, custom fit clothes are addictive. This took me a month to crochet and I already want to make more wearables. Maybe it's time to learn how to knit.

One week until Halloween! If you are giving out candy this Halloween, would you consider giving out non-candy treats as well?

Some kids have allergies, some kids have diabetes, and some kids have special needs. Halloween should be for everybody!

How does a centaur elevated their legs? Anyway, has anyone else given this some thought or are you normal?

...but not the other way around. Human hearts can struggle and blood pools in the feet in a normal human body. What if a centaur had POTS? It would be worse if they only had one horse sized heart because it would have to fight gravity for a longer distance to pump blood into the human brain.

So, I've been thinking of centaur anatomy all day. Do centaurs have two hearts? Two sets of lungs? Liver, intestine, Etc? If so, how does the airways connect to the lower lungs? If they only have one set, where is it? The horse half is probably large enough to compensate for the human half,
