There is a very wide lane for Dems to put up this chart and say, ‘What if we simply didn’t do this.’ And showed how we could re-allocate the same money providing healthcare, infrastructure, etc. while still providing for policing/security.

Idk who needs to hear this, but USA & Israel never intended to achieve peace.

Today’s “negotiations” were not done in good faith, as has been their approach when all parties “come to the table.”

Our - and I mean the world’s - way out of this nightmare is to get the entire cabinet out.

Opinion | Iran Is Losing the Cyberwar, Not the Real War

Interesting. “Much as Russia’s cyberarsenal was overestimated before the invasion of Ukraine, Iran’s cyberattacks have been underwhelming so far.” www.nytimes.com/2026/04/11/o...

The party that claims to be bravely defending “Western Civilization” from its supposed imminent destruction by barbarian hordes, has empowered a guy who eats roadkill to shut down research on one of the most significant scientific breakthroughs in decades.

The American regime has alienated us from the Pope.

Let that sink in.

There wasn’t a single Democratic elected official who celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death. Not one. Donald Trump is openly celebrating Robert Mueller’s death and no Republicans are condemning him. Both sides are not the same.

I thought the trump presidency would be bad but I didn’t think he’d manage to close the strait of hormuz.

Trump’s war against Iran is distracting people from more than the Epstein files.

New science shows the planet is not just heating - it is heating much faster.

My school district is being forced to lay off several educators and a librarian because of a $500,000 budget gap, or roughly the amount spent on the war while I was typing this post.

From what I can tell, the State Dept is behind on travel alerts for US citizens, ordered departures of non-emergency embassy personnel & other key safety moves when, you know, you go to war. Some sources say this is a result of sidelining career diplomats & not having a real policy process.

Update from David E. Sanger

“While President Trump recited a litany of Iranian attacks on American interests back to the hostage crisis during the Carter administration, he made little effort to argue that any immediate threat had prompted the latest U.S. and Israeli strikes.” www.nytimes.com/live/2026/02...

Just want to note that 3am in Washington is like 11:30am in Tehran. The American people are the ones he snuck up on in the dead of night to conduct this illegal attack, not the purported enemy.

The state of the union address was like 72 hours before the US and Israel chose to attack Iran’s capital and call for regime change, and Trump did not even mention his policy toward Iran before Congress, much less ask for a declaration of war.

In Trump’s Case for War, a Series of False or Unproven Claims

All of the claims the Trump administration made this week to justify possible U.S. military action against Iran were either false or unproven: www.nytimes.com/2026/02/26/u...

The US positioning a lot of military assets in the Middle East does not stand out as much as the US positioning military assets in the Caribbean.

And yet, as with the buildup that led to attacking Venezuela, this is a lot of military assets to position and then not use.

Sort of gives away the lie that they're arresting hardened criminals who are drags on society when they're setting up traps to lure in Good Samaritans

There must be some mistake. I was assured by Brett Kavanaugh that detainees were sorted only by the content of their character, and it was purely coincidental that this mapped on to the color of their skin.

New on MS NOW:

According to a White House official: "A White House staffer erroneously made the post. It has been taken down."

Just hours ago, Karoline Leavitt defended the racist post. Now it's been taken down.

Trump’s FBI raid could lead to a takeover of elections in Georgia’s largest county Trump wants control "over the voting in at least 15 places.” He could start in Fulton County, Georgia.

Trump wants to take over voting in at least 15 places

FBI raid in Fulton County GA now fueling MAGA calls for election takeover there

That would allow them to purge voters, cut polling places, limit early voting & challenge election results. Very scary for 2026

‘Don Colossus,’ a Golden Statue of President Trump, Waits for Its Home

It's hilarious that Trump is lazily going through the motions of the National Prayer Breakfast as his cult is planning to erect a literal golden idol of him.

This is now without question the biggest politico-financial scandal in United States history. Teapot Dome was trivial in comparison.

He's right: in light of Republican policies, rural Americans will have decreasing access to real healthcare. They will have to settle for some garbage chatbot selling them snake oil.

It shouldn't be this way, but it absolutely will be this way if Republicans stay in power.

Forget all the nonsense about Trump “pivoting” to moderation. This regime is ideologically and psycho-politically incapable of that. They will continue to escalate, hoping to intimidate people and institutions into compliance and submission.

But the resistance still matters greatly.
