This past month was so hard. But it’s amazing how restarting my exercise habit can positively impact my outlook.

A few important reminders about measles:
1. It’s one of the most contagious diseases on the planet and is spread by airborne transmission.
2. Measles lasts in the air for hours after the infected person has left the room.
3. Two doses of the MMR vaccine offer over 95% protection.

In Canada you can’t just buy flu vaccines. You go to a pharmacy/GP, give your health card and they administer the shot. You don’t take it to go and you can’t just “order” a bunch at a time.

When even my med school, in ultra conservative Poland, teaches us about transgenderism as a real thing as well as best practice to how to help our trans patients, I know it’s true. Trans kids and adults exist, they aren’t a threat and deserve love and healthcare like anyone else. 🏳️‍⚧️❤️

Just had two friends test positive for Covid here in St John’s NL. First confirmed cases this fall that I’ve heard of. What are Covid infections looking like where you are? I’ve mostly been slammed with patients with M. pneumo. #covid

One thing that gives me hope for the US is the situation in Poland. After years of far right leadership, things finally swung back to the center with the KO winning back control. Soon there will be a presidential election with @rafal-trzaskowski.bsky.social running as the candidate.
