I think a lot of big orgs will do well after today’s announcement, despite the reduction in overall funding in the scheme.

I suspect so- why else would NDIA bring in navigators? If Butler does not cut them altogether, i would imagine they will make as many of them drop out by onerous regulation and registration admin…
Absolutely.
A LOT in this #NPC announcement by Butler on #NDIS.. mandatory registration, digital payment system, cut to 3/4 of social and community participation payments, cuts to third party providers (ie plan management) with a govt shortlist of providers, axing of eligibility lists… #Auspol
Great question at #NPC - reducing choice and control, reducing options for individualisation. Butler highlights SIL, says it will ‘commission’ services… #Auspol
Can’t wait to watch the roll out of the digital payments system of the NDIS. Will it be salesforce’s PACE system that has been less than impressive by the community? Interesting to watch. #NPC #Auspol
Reassessments for everyone on the scheme? Butler says yes, already exists in the scheme #NPC
Butler addressing psychosocial on NDIS, talks about getting away from Lists. (fwiw, very difficult for psychosocial disability to be eligible as it stands now). #NPC
Yay - arts groups getting a mention re: Inclusive Communities Fund! Being back properly funded accessible arts orgs! #NPC #Auspol
Natassia Chrysanthos asking great questions off the bat. When eligibility changes into effect? Butler: by 1 Jan 2028 #NPC
Curious if these registration for support workers will have a standardised hourly rate? And who will make up the shortlist of plan managers? Big NIB style orgs? #NPC
Predicting scheme growth at 2% as a result if these changes. Down from $70b to $55b per year in 2030. #NPC
Registration… not every provider needs to be ‘fully’ registered. Daily living (support workers) will need to be registered. (Now linking to payments, yep it’s a cost thing not safety-led decision IMO) #NPC
Wow getting rid of the lists for automatic NDIS access… will reduce access to scheme. #NPC
‘Clipping the ticket’ - plan management and support coordination? Government will create a shortlist of providers… #NPC
Listening to #NPC Mark Butler speech- interesting going after social and community participation. Less 1:1 support it sounds like. Back to day program model hey? Great for big providers the sounds of it.
Saw Battles once who played an incredibly tight set and one of the audience in front of me turned to his friend and said, ‘I dunno, it was a bit jammy.’ 😁
At this rate, Australia will get to dump US & UK nuclear waste here under the AUKUS deal, get no submarines for $368B, and still not be told where they're dumping the waste or how much it will cost

Riefenstahl-ing all the way to the bank…
yes this! i can’t believe commentators haven’t been clocking their video and social game and how it has captured people’s algorithms (obvs not my left wing bubble 🤣)
it was a great chat!
unbelievable.
argh, you are probably right 😞
Melbourne is such a maze of secrets. Straight across from our Airbnb is a tiny magician’s theatre, next door to that is a very high end sex toy shop and we only just saw 2 doors up is a big café. None of these are sign posted!
Oh great, Pauline Hanson is on news breakfast so it looks like the ABC is going to ‘both sides’ One Nation now. #Auspol #ABCNewsBreakfast
