(10)(12) "Nudity," "nude," or "state of nudity" means the
showing of the human male or female genitals, pubic area, vulva,
anus, anal cleft, or cleavage with less than a fully opaque
covering; or the showing of the female breasts with less than a
fully opaque covering of any part of the nipple.
(12)(14) "Seminude" or "state of seminudity" means a
state of dress in which opaque clothing covers not more than the
genitals, pubic region, and nipple of the female breast, as well
as portions of the body covered by supporting straps or devices.
In addition to the made-up category of "seminudity," HB 249 also expands the definition of "nudity" to include "cleavage" and uncovered "anal cleft"
I dunno. Maybe the journalist could have quoted the bill rather than bothsidesing it.

Why would voters ever make a promise to a party. Why would that ever be the balance of power in anything but a cult.

Yes, it's the progressives critiquing the party from the left that are the problem. Definitely the group most likely to get the facts wrong π

Oh it turns out that vanquishing the college student who uses they/them in their email signature is not bringing you the fulfillment that you hoped for? You are still working in your crappy and unfulfilling job, paying a mortgage you now can't afford, and dealing with your annoying kids... I see.

TBH, anyone who opines on the importance of praising some cultures and criticizing others raises my eyebrows. Like, *which* cultures do you think made super important advancements and do they all come from Europe? Obvs that's not always the case, but it's sure the case way too often

This is exactly what I thought of when the patient was introduced. I 1000% agree that our medical system can harm pregnant folks - this is well documented, particularly for people of color - but this idea goes well beyond wanting to reclaim agency over one's own pregnancy.

I dunno, maybe if you really want doctors on The Pitt to kiss, you should watch ER? Shipping characters in a drama that is hyperfocused on realism in a professional setting feels squicky to me. Can we not find value in deeply human stories unless half the cast is about to bone?

I kind of loved that moment. All this concern about Whittaker giving too much, not maintaining a healthy boundary with this woman. Then we see their dynamic and realize no, he's just building a relationship. He's not your little buddy, he's an adult guy who can make choices for himself.

Nah, look into the people running this "movement". It's a pretty dangerous grifter situation with strong medical misinformation, heavy emphasis on the femme version of hunting the mammoth, and high control tactics within the community they're building. Wild birth is very much a concerning idea.

who do, factually, tend to relapse multiple times before a longer recovery. Seeing Langdon as worthy of understanding while demonizing Santos for being a victim of his bad behavior is not the enlightened position you seem to think. Further, insisting that there must be nuance and grace for Langdon

Addiction can be an illness and the people with that illness can still be responsible for their behavior. Blaming Santos for reacting badly to a superior who belittled and gaslight her does not make her an asshole. It's also clear that she has a history of experiencing harmful behavior from addicts

One thing economists might want to try out is assuming that non-economists can tell when their expenses go up and their wages/salary remain constant. Telling us that actually we're doing great while we can see our own bank accounts is a truly wild approach to describing economic reality.

I feel so bad being cynical about this but I think books have it easier because the audience isn't asked to see the people involved. Sure, the words *say* fat or disabled but the reader can view that character however they please.

FUCKING THIS.
EVERY DAMN DAY we have to deal with a whole bunch of putting some man's "value to society" over our basic humanity. EVERY DAY. "But he'll be a good president." Find someone else. "But he's a good comedian." So will someone else be. "But he catches footballs good." FUCK OFF WITH THAT.

Two reminders:
First, Robert E. Lee was never a general in an army recognized by the United States. You can annoy all the right people by referring to him as Col. Robert E. Lee, his actual rank.
Second, the primary flag of the Confederacy is the white one of surrender. To wit:
