Y'all, #teacherburnout is real! I am close enough to retirement that I don't want to quit and have to start over somewhere new. However, I am also still far enough away from retiring that it feels too far away. What to do?

I’ve been wondering about the reading problem lately. When I was in school, we were expected to read class novels on our own and be ready to discuss when we got to the classroom. When did this change to novels being read in class because otherwise “students won’t read them?”
