I think it is time to start impeachment efforts for Roberts, who gave us Citizens United and followed it up with the Shadow Docket.

This bit right here. This is John Roberts basically admitting, explicitly, that he is dreaming up a legal doctrine out of nothing because he does not like or approve of Obama's policy:

Xavier Becerra addresses single-payer healthcare in California in a way I can appreciate. He talks about the logistics of making it happen.

He says it won’t be easy, but it can be done.

I respect that. Too many politicians make it sound easy, then drop it once they’re elected. Becerra gets it.

The Case for Xavier Becerra

Given how rapidly the CA governor’s race has changed in just 24 hours, it’s time for CA voters to take a close look at Xavier Becerra.
I’m biased, of course. I was his public affairs chief at HHS in the Biden-Harris administration. But XB is the kindest, most decent, fearless, empowering Cabinet secretary I’ve worked for – and I’ve worked for a number of them under four US presidents.
Here’s the case for Xavier Becerra:
- XB’s personal story is All-American.
- He’s the son of two immigrants who worked very, very hard to make lives better for their family and helped XB achieve everything he could ever have

You may know the California governor campaign is in flux.

Now's the time to take a fresh look at Xavier Becerra. I can't think of a better review of his exemplary character, qualifications & accomplishments than this, from a former colleague in the Biden-Harris administration.

Read & share. 1/x

Now, Trump’s budget request reveals, the FBI runs a dedicated “NSPM-7 Joint Mission Center”; with personnel from 10 federal agencies, it is busy “proactively” identifying domestic terrorists motivated by any of the following beliefs:

“anti-Christianity,”
“support for the overthrow of the U.S. Government,”
“extremism on migration,”
extremism on “race,”
extremism on “gender,”
“Hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family,”
Hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on “religion,” and
Hostility towards those who hold traditional views on “morality.”

Disappointed that this analysis leaves out #agriculture as a Sector. Of all sectors, agriculture appears to be on the slowest path of eliminating fossil fuel reliace. Everything else is moving faster, but I have not seen it included in any such comparisons.

Most prescient, clear/eyed work of writing I’ve read on reorg.

Read it.

Then act.

“Call your senators. Call your representative. Not next week or later. Now.

Tell them this is not a reorganization — it’s the destruction of a federal agency by executive fiat and that Congress must intervene.”

Did you know that the @nytimes.com conservative Book Review editor actively blocked bestselling LGBTQ+ literature from being reviewed from 2013-2022? Before writing several anti-trans op-eds, Pamela Paul controlled which books received coverage and which did not.

Santa Cruz ocean advocates battle deep-sea mining SANTA CRUZ COUNTY — Miles under the ocean’s surface, atop the soft sediment that makes up the seafloor, sit thousands of potato-sized spheres of metal. These spheres, called polymetallic nodules or manganese nodules, start out as just a speck of sand or silt. Over millions of years, trace amounts of metals from the seawater attach themselves to the speck and cling on, building up layer by layer. The result is a nodule made up of metals such as manganese, iron, cobalt, copper, nickel and zinc. In some parts of the ocean, fields of these metallic nodules stretch for hundreds or thousands of miles, serving as anchors for some of the tiny invertebrates that dwell in the deep ocean. Underwater mountain-like formations typically formed from extinct volcanoes, called seamounts, can also be home to a thick crust of similarly layered metals. Some of the metals in deep-sea modules and seamount crusts can be valuable resources, especially in batteries for electric vehicles or energy storage. As many companies set their sights on creating clean energy technology, some have taken an interest in polymetallic nodules as extractable resources to be mined straight from the seafloor. This deep-sea mining, also called seabed mining, has...

An image of a list of the 27 grievances against King George III in the Declaration of Independence. Donald Trump's regime has committed at least 20 of them in whole or in part, condensed into the list below:
1.	He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
2.	He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of representation …
3.	He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing … his invasions on the rights of the people.
4.	He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; … obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners …
5.	He has obstructed the Administration of Justice …
6.	He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices …
7.	He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
8.	He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.
9.	He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
10.	He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution … giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
11.	For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
12.	For protecting them … from punishment for any Murders which they should commit …
13.	For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
14.	For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
15.	For depriving us … of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
16.	For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:
17.	For … abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
18.	He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
19.	He has … destroyed the lives of our people.
20.	He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us …
