I’m back for little bit because I need to ask for help.

Saipan, where I live, was hit by a super typhoon last week. My family and I are doing ok, but many people here aren’t.

I want to do a TTRPG charity bundle to raise funds for one of the non-profits bringing supplies here.

DM if interested.

And I can tell you which ones I’ve watched, they’re bangers.

It’s become a thing I look forward to in each episode, and the only similar western example I can think of is Batman escaping whatever trap he’s been caught in at the end of the last episode.

For anyone wanting something entertaining and light-on-the-nerves, I can recommend them highly.

While we had 11 weeks without the internet, we downloaded and watched a load of Korean romantic dramas.

As well as enjoying them a lot, I love the device they use where at the end of an episode, or start of the next, you get a scene that explains something odd that happened before.

How many times do I think this would be*nice*. Quiet, calm, no random people. 😊

Because the undergrowth grows so quickly and the risk of fires here, it gets cut beneath the pylons and so there are wide green lanes crossing the country following the lines. All the better to follow the hum.

A view of the dark blue sky in Portugal as the sun has gone down. The moon is at the top of the frame, the disc visible as well as the bright crescent. Further down the frame, a bright light is Venus. Along the bottom of the frame is the silhouette of trees and electricity lines on the hill above my house.

100% this!

“We created something that we think might outsmart us in some way that we find worrying. We thought it would be subservient, but maybe not”.

“I know, let’s create another thing smarter than us to keep it in check, I mean, they’ll be obedient, right?Right!?!”.

I know now that noise cancelling earphone are really helpful for some tasks, but I had no idea before I got a pair because I *just put up with stuff*. Like a lot of us do, I suspect.

One of the problems being a late-identified autistic person is that you have very little idea what accommodations would help because you’ve built a life without them, just trying to get by.

I will take a look! I’m partly interested in funky mechanical effects that you can’t get with dice (or cards) to incorporate into role-playing games.

But also just for the joy of discovering and playing games, because games 🤘.

They have invented a new test of Witchery, Sister
What is it, Sister?

The Subject, when dipped in a Lake, may Float or Sink. If she Floate, she is a witch.

Indeed Sister? Let us try it.

I would love to hear more about dominoes - only recently picked up a set and thinking about all the ways to play with them.

I sing when I’m alone, I sing to my dog, I sing when I’m outdoors (alone) and I really enjoy it, it’s very grounding. Usually whatever song has lodged in my brain on repeat for whatever time, though the dog has his own special song that I sing to him, just for him…

My other learning from cutting the grass in my field this morning (after changing the blade + injury) is that Chappel Roan is far more of the vibe than Swans when it comes to minor agricultural work, who would have thought?

Turns out that the deep cut I inflicted on my forearm this morning changing the blade on the roçadora just doesn’t want to stop bleeding. Third plaster in 12 hours and I can see the blood seeping through the gauze already. Intrigued and a little worried I could bleed during the night…
