Apparently during their molting period they do not swim at all because they would not survive the cold.
2 years ago a Woodpecker made this hole for her babe. 1 year ago the swallows inhabited it.

A wide early-morning sky fills most of the scene, glowing with layered clouds lit in deep orange, coral, and red, as if the underside of the clouds has caught fire. The brightest color sits near the horizon, where bands of molten orange spread horizontally, gradually fading upward into softer pinks, then into cool bluish-gray and violet tones higher in the sky. The clouds are textured and uneven — some thick and billowing, others thin and streaked — creating the impression of slow-moving waves of color. The light appears indirect, suggesting the sun is still below the horizon, illuminating the clouds from underneath. Along the bottom edge, the land is completely in silhouette. A dark, gently rolling ridgeline runs from left to right. In front of it, a few trees stand as black shapes: on the right, a tall, narrow evergreen with a pointed top; on the left, a broader pine with irregular branches. Between them, the horizon remains low and dark, emphasizing the dramatic sky above.
