“These projects [verticals] are making a lot of money in China [and other places]. We need to start raising the wages for the crew working on them so they can sustain and grow their careers in this space,” he said.
Vertical productions are going union. Director Michael Goi, a former national executive board member of L600, with his IATSE crew on the set of the vertical series "Megan is Missing". Goi ensured the project was made under an IATSE contract so his crew received fair pay, health/retirement benefits.
