In this paper I talk about inclusive strategies that educational institutions can adopt to support migrant children to develop their sense of belonging.

I wrote about this for EERA, drawing from my PhD research. In a world often hostile to immigrants, these subtle shifts are vital to fostering a strong sense of #belonging.

20 years ago, UK police mistook an unarmed Brazilian man for a suicide bomber and shot him dead. The structures that killed him still exist in indefinite detention, medical neglect, and re-traumatisation.
