Yesterday was the anniversary of my dad’s death. What makes me smile is my mom’s resiliency. It’s been a tough year, but she’s surviving, even thriving. I’m so proud of her.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.
Numerous times this week, I’ve learned of news breaking on Bluesky before Twitter. In the past, it’s only ever been Twitter. Bodes well for the future of this site.

My niece is a student at OSU and confirms this happened today. White supremacists have been emboldened, once again, by the election of Donald Trump. It's imperative that this type of hate, intimidation, and violence be loudly condemned every time.
