…ANYWAY, he ended up leaving shortly before I did (yay!) and I got a new line manager who was a complete legend and I loved and respected her massively… but my old manager has just launched a rival agency and poached some of their top clients 🥴 would love to be a fly on the wall in that office today

He’d do things like walk past me and completely ignore me, would never do reviews (even during probation so I never knew how I was doing) and he basically left me drowning, I fucked up soooo many times and probably seemed so incompetent but I had zero guidance and tons of pressure…

Me and someone I joined alongside collated massive notes to send to HR a couple months after joining, and I had to sit in a meeting room with him alone for an hour, sweating and shaking because he intimidated me so much (as ashamed as I am to admit that) to hash it out, but it didn’t really work

Before I moved to France, I was working at a marketing agency in central London and the job itself was such a good one – I was just completely out of my depth because I’d never worked in an agency before, and I also had the biggest arsehole of a manager I’ve ever met in my entire life
