Full BTC lineup

There's a pretty packed collection of top flight grassroots talent on display throughout the day. Massively eclectic. Just been scrolling through some of the links here www.brightenthecorners.co.uk/btc-all-daye... and some super interesting stuff to be found. Can't wait.

tbf I think a tour would be well recieved given that they haven't played live since the 90s. Count myself very lucky to have seen them a few times, don't think it'll happen again unless they have a sudden need for a shitload of money.

I suspect box set though.

You'll know it's our generations turn when they start installing subs.

confidently dim in the way that only Oxbridge PPE graduates can be. A lifetime of being told what a clever little sausage they are.

Thank you!!

only thing I'd say is that it futureproofs you a bit. ps6 unlikely to be forthcoming any time soon with these current supply and cost issues so it'd tide you over for a while.

I'm always a late adopter though, only bought my ps5 last year.

I was tempted with the incoming price increase, but tbh, I'm so happy with streaming to the portal I can't be arsed. Game's a game really.

Nothing else is worth the time and money I put into it, and I want to go to my grave knowing that everything I created in whatever length of life I end up having was made by me, a musician, across a lifelong journey of learning, expression and exploration.

Fuck any other reason to make art.

But as a musician, and in the face of this kind of pivot around how the music (let’s face it, content) of the future is to be made and consumed by most people….literally all I want to do is make music I love, myself, with my own skills, limits, taste, creative decisions, barriers and expression.

..and it will be absolutely fine for people not to like it, or to think that it’s safe or boring or talentless or really anything at all you want to feel. because all art is 100% subjective and that’s fine.

Someone just sent me the latest demo of Sora 5.5 and I watched it. It's a technical achievement.

But it underlines EXACTLY why I have played every single note of my new album and produced every single bar of it entirely by myself, even if it limits what I can do.

oh interesting! Thanks so much for looking into it. it's super trivial, but I've become so used to using pencil now that it was a bit weird when it suddenly didn't work that way!

3 weeks ago 0 0 1 0

it's a super trival thing, but I noticed today that it no longer works with Apple Pencil - thought I was going nuts initially with all the controls snapping back once you lift the pencil off. No biggy, but I really like using pencil as my interface.

And they learn absolutely nothing.

I guess that would make them "idea exploiters".

Living in the Future, by Neurodriver 10 track album

oh man...Tripping the Light Fantastic was my "getting ready to go out" tune for years. what an album.

For something more recent but very much in that style, this really hit the spot for me:
