Vivica is a pain to say in normal conversation, so I'm going to rename her to Vivian to keep the Vivi nickname. Janine needs a new name for the same reason.
Didn't plan to color it, but hadn't done so in a while so there we go. Same issues is usual, not great. 4hrs+

Haven't drawn in a few days, but I'm feeling a bit better. May as well take the weekend off as well since it's here, but I'll try doing something next week.

While I was drawing that pic yesterday, I learned one of my best friends died in a car crash.
I'll probably take a couple days off drawing. I know my mind is just looking for excuses to take time off, so I won't skip too many days.

Wanted to practice this kind of head angle again. That part didn't go too well, but I hid most of the big issues with her hair. Some irl stuff happened while doing this, but despite that it was still really slow. 6hrs~ at best? Most if it's fine, but that's too slow...

Some action practice, it went surprisingly well. I'm always able to draw her well when it's this outfit, but can't figure her out in anything more modern.

Tried a ponytail for her combat outfit. Not sure about it yet.
Might do less lineart and normal shading for a while. Got the body frame down fast, but everything else took way too long. I know sketches usually don't look so close to the finished piece, but I find it unreadable if it's messier.

Apparently I'm surrounded by Polish folk and didn't know it.

I've learned through both someone on Discord and the random Polish guy I happened be sat next to at a restaurant earlier that Polish surnames change based on gender.
So Tosia's last name is Bukowska now. I'm not sure if I like how they sound together, but idk if I want to think of another one.

Did this entirely to practice how to draw shorter characters, but it went well enough that I made it into a ref sheet. Used the same initial head frame for each, then worked from there.
Still have no idea what Jani should wear in modern times, nothing quite fits.

I know I've been extra negative lately (If that's even possible), I just don't feel like I'm in control of how anything turns out.

Went to get everything in Atelier Sophie 1.
Effectively the first of this series I played. I tried another one before but the time limits put me off. I have Lydie+Suelle that I might play next but I kind of want to play an ARPG (My arm probably disagrees though).
Trying to draw less for a bit.

It looks really flat, making hair flow right is really inconsistent for me.

Hanna's supposed to be on the shorter side, but I'm never able to get that down right. The main suggestion I see is to have the head be a bit larger in terms of proportion, but it never works out all that well.
Making just the torso shorter seems to work for some art I've seen, maybe I'll try that.

It's the opposite, I DID have expectations of it being good since it's for an artbook. I knew what I wanted, and it went as I imagined it would, which isn't how it ever is normally.

Day late, but that's better than I usually am with holidays.

It's going to be for sale at Hiroshima Comiket in the summer, I'm not sure if you can order them online. Anyone who gets art in it is sent a copy, but other than that we'll have to wait and see.

This drawing is messing me up. It's rare to imagine something and get it almost exactly how I wanted it with no issues. It went so well, and I thought maybe I actually figured some stuff out, but I'm realizing now that it was just luck.
Idk what I can do. My mind won't let me take more breaks.

Mostly just copied a face for the left one, Still turned out bad. Tried to do one without a ref as well, but I just can't figure anything out so I stopped. Nothing sticks in my head from practice, I can get the head frame down, but not the "living" parts.

Forgot that easter existed, no surprise there. Maybe I'll do something bunny related this week, doubtful.
Feel miserable about taking the weekend off, but I also can't trust myself to draw even the most simple thing without it wasting my entire day. Probably going to try something anyway.

Some anatomy practice, might do some more. Took longer than it should've, but went well in the end.

I did more editing on the head rather than the face, but yeah that should work better. I'm terrible at telling why things looks bad, only that it IS bad, so I don't end up learning anything to improve on for a redraw.
I can never tell that things needs fixing until it's 90% done and hard to change.

Try at practicing straight on heads. I think the face is fine (Copied a ref), but couldn't get the rest looking good. Had to keep editing stuff just to get it to this point, took forever. Can never manage this extremely basic angle. 0xp gained, waste of time.
Might take the rest of the weekend off.

Tried doing some CSM art and man I forgot how bad I am at adapting other styles to mine. Tends to barely look like the character anymore. Scrapped it, maybe should've finished it.
Makes sense since styles are usually different, but mine doesn't gel with certain ones at all. Try again another time.

I ended up doing the fanbook one, though it was mostly to see how well I could do something if I took my time with it. It went very well, but they said I can't post the full thing until the book comes out, which could be November.

Happiness isn't going to exist regardless of what I do. My characters living is what matters, and if I'm going to miserable no matter what I may as well do the only thing I really care about.

I don't know if I'll even be around by then. It's an odd feeling.

Stress from art is screwing with everything I do. Eyes perpetually blurry the past few days from it.
There's a 100oj fanbook I said I'd do something for, but idk. Likely to be an art contest for the game soon, too. Hard to care, I don't see a benefit to trying them, and I don't trust myself at all.

Doing face practice again I guess. Looks acceptable because I just copied something. Tried to do one on my own as well, but it went so badly I deleted it pretty early into the sketch.
2hrs~ for this + the sketch I barely started. Gained 0xp.

I don't know what else to do. Breaks don't do anything, I had to take 2 months off to end last year because of carpal tunnel, and I took a week off a short while ago too. When I drew again afterwards it felt just as bad as before. I never liked drawing but it's worse now due to lack of progress.
