Just a reminder that if you aren’t paying people, you aren’t hiring.
You’re asking for volunteers. Hiring implies payment.

Ah, we've entered the veteran animator grifter renaissance period of the "indie animation will save us" timeline even faster than anticipated.
Y'all notice how 2d animation died in 2003 and since then there have been no 2d animated films produced on planet earth since? No TV shows, no films.
They made some documentaries about it, and despite rumors of saving 2d animation, it's been nothing but continuous episodes of Reboot for 30 years.

The Free Speech Coalition is serious about starting an adult industry credit union. Part of this is being able to show regulators that enough people would use it, so please fill out this form if you're interested!
(Yes, credit unions can issue credit cards!)

Delighted to share that my first attempt at color correcting a faded and fragile print from the library's collection is now online for viewing! Far from perfect, but I'm just happy to have been able to help get Rob Williams' The Matter With Me out there in a better quality than previously available.
I can't upload half of my posts, because apparently "failed to load blob"
I would read. I would catch up on films. I would travel with my family. I would do housework. I would exercise daily. It would be easy.
I haven't "had" to create, in that, mystical calling way we like to fantasize about in over a decade. I do it to survive in a real monetary way.
In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
“The decision … is not going to result in any more oil production; it’s not going to result in lower gas prices. It will result in real harm and the potential extinction of one or more species in the Gulf.”
Laugh hard. Run fast. Be kind.
"Once the prophecies of the strategic initiative have been brought to fulfillment, budget deficits will shrink, prestige and reputation will grow, that weird smell on the first floor of the student center will dissipate, and you’ll never be frazzled or beleaguered again."
It's good that you can see who liked a stranger's post so when I see someone I never want to see again on my popular with friends feed, I can quickly decide who to unfollow.
Breaking: HHS’s ban on gender-affirming care is struck down. Rarely have I read a ruling this sharply worded.
“This case is one of a long list of examples of how a leader’s wanton disregard for the rule of law causes very real harm to very real people.”

CALIFORNIA: Those scare ads for legislation limiting medical settlements that quote the LA Times are paid for by Uber because they want to limit how much they can be sued for when they hit you with their cars. calmatters.org/economy/2026...

Important story from the Times on the rise of AI influencers for Trump www.nytimes.com/2026/04/17/b...
"They said they wouldn't pay me and would use AI instead if I didn't give them a lower price"
They're bluffing. They already tried AI and it didn't work so they're contacting you.
No one goes "I'll pay you or do the free one" they just do the free one, see that it's crap, and do the paid one.
ok so streamers only want to pick up successful youtube/tiktok shows now? so you gotta make and pay for the show yourself, distribute it yourself, promote it yourself and ensure it's success yourself. so you rack up a billion views and they pick it up... to do what exactly? you already did it.
Expand your brain. ( My film was programmed as experimental at least twice. )
My film is now live. I hope you enjoy it? It is animated and there is some blood. Sorry.

The only inconvenience in these technologies is that you can’t use them to try to sell AI, or subscriptions, or upsell them on the newest mode filled to the brim with shit nobody needs.
And the inconvenience isn’t the user’s. That’s why people want it.
"why are they doing this?"
To kill open source ventures like Linux distros because the cost of adhering to this law is too much to expect these projects to pay and maintain, forcing everyone to use windows and train their AI/farm metadata
They'll say it's for protecting kids or something tho
Yesterday, by a vote of 50-49, the Senate used the Congressional Review Act to undo public lands protections for the first time in history, rolling back mining protections in National Forest Land right outside Boundary Waters National Recreation Area. (1/7)
