I have always read a great deal and I write reasonably well, but I never really understood English grammar until I took Latin in college. Latin study is far clearer in presenting grammatical structure than is diagramming English sentences. The nutjobs are actually right to teach it in grade school.

This teaching method, backed by conservatives, is on the rise Classical schools focus on Western content and American ideals. “We are going to honor the creation of our flag. We are going to honor George Washington,” one principal said.

I despise #MAGA agenda of #racism and #misogyny behind so-called " #ClassicalSchools." But #phonics and #Latin help immeasurably in learning English language and grammar. They should be taught everywhere. #K12
