Love Next Door is so good!!! Have you watched Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha? That one is excellent! It has a town full of quirky and lovable characters, and is a great “fish-out-of-water” story.
These are definitely the hardest! My go-to is to use sentence frames with manipulatives (concrete or virtual) to model the division:
“How many groups of [divisor] are in [dividend]?” or “If you split it [dividend] into [divisor] equal parts, how much would be in each part?”

My initial thought was to count up from 38 to 104: 38+70=108, which is too far, so I went back 4 to get to 104. So, 38+70-4=104, which means we went a total of 66 to get there.

Also, I hate how writing on paper with dry erase makers feels. The way it drags across the paper is like nails on a chalkboard, but the version that is a feel, not sound.
We don’t need millionaires and billionaires starting their own schools. We need billionaires to pay more equitably so every school can be better resourced.
As we all know, cantaloupe is the most arrogant of fruits, tainting all that it touches. This is why honeydew doesn’t have its own identity…it spends way too much time with cantaloupe. (I am anti-melon in general, and anti-cantaloupe specifically.)
#ITeachMath folks- if you could recommend 1 article to elementary families about learning math and/or fact fluency, what would it be?
