Yes but the basis of this lawsuit is alleged violations of Virginia law, so SCOTUS hasn't ruled on this nor are they likely to. It will ultimately be decided by SCOVA.
This has nothing to do with SCOTUS but the fact he didn't even stay his judgment pending appeal tells you it's bullshit.
My read is SCOVA would have preferred to just let the vote fail but they wouldn't have let there be a vote to begin with if their intention was to overturn it.

It's worth noting Democrats strategically placed this now instead of November because they wanted the special election with a high-information electorate. The margins in NoVa/RVA show the strategy paid off.
