I've decided to take a social media break. I'm not sure of the length just yet, but I'm aiming for 3-12 months. SM feels like a chore right now, the main reason for the hiatus.
I did decide however that I'll be deleting my Bluesky permanently. While lovely, BS just isn't for me.

When the 3d printer suddenly acts up after printing something just fine and you must spend hours trying to remember how to run tests and in what sequence and discover the probe height is mysteriously high but also one side of the print bed seems weirdly off and this is Christmas damnit-

2025 sucked for many of us and while I worry, I certainly hope it gets better.
I didn't get a lot made this year, just one full cosplay and a few side projects. I'm hoping next year I can craft more AND enter horse shows!

Idk if I was brand new to this hobby I would have been devastated.
3d printing has its place but to me it doesn't take over scratch building.
Also were they just jealous, rude, or did they actually think they were being helpful? No idea. But don't do that.
This happened a while ago and it still haunts me. My prop making skills aren't great but it's something I really didn't get to learn during my first stint in the hobby. I've been back for four years and I STILL haven't made many props. But my newest ones look miles better than my first.
Asking someone "have you considered 3d printing that" about a prop they hand made is... actually not okay.

Hot glued the claws, eyes and tusks onto felt that was previously sewn into the faux fur.
I'm debating making her a little something to "wear" with the rental symbol on it, but I'm not sure what yet.

I have some new favorites! And I loved seeing my favs all the way from the g1 show.
Just finished Digimon: Time Stranger and I can say a) best Digimon game I've personally played and b) while not the best jrpg I sure had a lot of fun.
I've never been the most dedicated Digimon fan but I really love the designs and had so much fun discovering new Digimon.
