A little Nova Scotia seaside rainbow to brighten your day.

Horrifying, isn't it?
Hi there, for the New Brunswick Starter Pack I heartily recommend @holdfastink.bsky.social (and have asked her permisson before recommending). She is a wonderful person, business owner and artist.
Calm water reflecting a gentle sky. Remember to breathe.
The world is serving chaos, so I am serving nature photos. Because they are calming. 🤍
Melting ice formed a stream over a colourful rock yesterday. A brief moment of sun made it sparkle.
A friend got a text from a buddy in Germany (someone who rarely texts). Translation:
“What Trump did today is unacceptable”
“More shame. I am embarrassed”
“You don't need to be embarrassed. But what this President does is simply getting worse and more dangerous”
Will do.
Oh, that would be nice! I haven't posted much on Bluesky yet, but I'm a watercolour artist and do a lot of nature photos too. Beautiful province we live in. I dearly love it here.
It's feeling like spring in Nova Scotia these past couple of days and I'm here for it. Snow and ice are starting to melt, and the sky has been lovely too.
US corporations kissing the boots for hefty tax cuts will soon find their bottom line impacted every which way. The world is watching (in horror) and is going to be increasingly unimpressed with the "up is down, down is up" bullshit they see.
international students (a big money maker for Universities) will go elsewhere, US passports will bar entry to a growing list of travel destinations, and on and on.
Reaction to current events will be rapid and harsh. Travel advisories will caution against travel to the US (both for safety and health reasons), US credit scores will plummet, US reputation as a trustworthy trading partner will tank...
Strangely enough, this gives me hope. The US likes to believe it is the centre (and envy) of the world at large. If that were so, US travellers in Europe would not wear Canadian flag pins hoping for better treatment....something they have done for years and years.
He just did.
Nature break (the best kind). Salt flats at low tide on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada.
I do!
If the people you follow repost a lot of stuff, it really clutters your feed. You can change your settings to only see original posts.
I'll bet you will enjoy the holidays next year once you are settled in and cozy.
Yes, same. As well as the fact that I still feel a "duty to warn" even though I know the ones who need to hear will not or can not hear.
It's so scary that cloud storage, AI and bitcoin are all such energy hogs...and that most people have no idea.
Gooseberry Jellyfish, spotted today along the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada.
I got (and enjoyed) the Peanuts reference. 😀
Eek.
A mouse.
Yes, in my house.
But hopefully not for long.
Purchased a live trap, then stopped by the grocery store. The cashier asked how I was.
"Good, except I have a mouse in my house."
She said "Well, we think we have a rat living in our wall if that makes you feel any better."
It did not.
Lovely...I've not seen her from this viewpoint before.
I hope it is a blessed and rewarding time for you.
Can't speak for others, but I've been searching for "The Work That Reconnects" from time to time to see who pops up on Blue Sky with a focus/vibe that speaks to me.
Yes, and it is taking me a while to figure out this new environment. But here we are. Go us.
Hey there, Heidi. It's me!!! I want to be part of your skircle too!
