I could probably talk to him all afternoon about DRIVE, HE SAID and KING OF MARVIN GARDENS.

The way Jack treats Hong in THE TWO JAKES is on my list of questions, if I ever had the chance. Hong deserves the star treatment, and it's a gorgeous sequence, but what exactly was he up to there? It's nigh worshipful.
Well... it's obviously Billie and David. That much was clear to me from the get-go. But I suspect he knows that if he's going to drag them back onstage here and now, he also has to say something about the future of DW. What that is, and how effective that tale is, remains to be seen.
I read it again a few weeks ago. There's something quotable every other page.
You know the Beatles were stacked when "Another Day" was the *weakest* of their single singles (It's a great song)
What a week. Good grief...
Yes. The commercialism stays, but I have a feeling he'd want less iconography. Less deity, more rock. The Beatles are amazing, but it's wrong to treat them like Elvis.
SNOOPY COME HOME, anyone?
In the case of Trump, there have been many credible reports over the years that he uses a type of decongestant obtained from overseas, which is apparently just low-level speed. Thirty years of that will fry anyone.
Different in theater, but there is a narrative that William Hartnell spent his final years in That Role in cognitive decline. In reality, that was partly true, but only beginning. He was able to work on stage after. The real problem, I have just learned, is that he was Hard Work & Constantly Pissed.
Wario, eh? Mama mia.

On a related note, this arrived in the mail today...
I am deeply grateful you were out there to be found, brother. You're a good egg and I think the world of you.
I love Doctor Who, but I would walk a mile for a smutty anecdote about Patrick Trougton.
I think it was sometime around college when I got less interested in the product and more interested in how they put it together. Far more fascinating and with more gossip about Carrie Fisher, George Takei, et al.
We all know my proclivities. I make no apologies. But I balance it out with other things. I don't look down on other people who are "fans," but I also don't have much to do with them, simply because empty people are dull.
It's a big, big show, Portland. Hope to see you there.
Tommy Lee Jones as Clay Shaw/Clay Bertrand
I extend to you and your families my best wishes for a happy Easter.
This is pretty cool.
Yes, Scorsese. Of course, but it hard to define any of his films by their purported genre. Tge Godfather, as well. TLGF is absolutely a crime film, though. It's just a great one.

People say its the best British gangster film, the best British crime film... I think it's a serious contender for the best crime film in cinema, full stop.

Today is a good day to remind you that Bob Hoskins recorded a throwaway reggae track for THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY soundtrack. I've yet to spot it in the film, but I wasn't looking for it last time. youtu.be/tdHLLxmmLkw?...
