I don’t know about you, but I feel like inflation in Russia last year was higher than 8%
In August 2025, the Russian Federal budget received approximately
👉 393.5 billion rubles in revenue
From Sberbank dividends
I just want to make this clear so everyone follows…
If this is approved, it would likely result in the Russian Federal Budget receiving roughly
👉 425 billion rubles in revenue
Probably in August 2026 from Sberbank dividends.
‼️ Russia: “The Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery halted oil refining on April 18 after a drone attack.”
🔥

‼️ Russia: “The average maximum interest rate on deposits at the top 10 Russian banks fell to 13.39% in the second ten days of April.”
🍿 Now we wait to see if people pull even more of their money from banks

Also worth noting that waste water plants in Russia are problematic and not profitable, and that the construction industry is in trouble.
“this industry is almost completely dependent on the import of original breeding stock, the document states.”
“The draft also envisages the possibility of providing state support in 2026 to investment projects previously selected but not funded due to insufficient budget allocations”
🤨
‼️ Russia: “The Ministry of Agriculture has proposed measures to provide state support for the production of hatching eggs.”
With what money?

Which is why I went searching for another article to give the exact amounts, it’s in the second post
Certainly feels that way
So…it’s possible that some of what’s going on might be considered asset stripping in order to provide more revenue to the Federal Government.
Here you can see the income the Russian Federal Budget received in August 2025 from Sberbank dividends.
Here is the most recent update on what is currently in the NWF
You can see Sberbank listed
I want to remind you of this thread, overtime I started to add a lot more detail to these reports
They also layed off a lot of employees
Note: Sberbank closed over 900 branches last year
“Based on the 2024 results, Sberbank paid dividends in the amount of 34.84 rubles per ordinary and preferred share. A total of 786.9 billion rubles was allocated for these purposes (50.6% of net profit under RAS with the IFRS and 49.8% of net profit under IFRS for 2024).”
Recall that there has been a standard expectation among most if not all state majority owned businesses to pay out 50% of “profits” in dividends
“A total of RUB 850.173 billion may be allocated for dividend payments, which is 50.5% of net profit under RAS taking into account events after the reporting date (EPRD) or 49.8% of net profit under IFRS for 2025.”
It is specifically owned by the National Welfare Fund, and is the largest illiquid asset in the National Welfare fund.
‼️ Russia: “Sberbank’s Supervisory Board recommended that shareholders at its annual meeting decide to pay dividends for 2025 in the amount of 37.64 rubles per ordinary and preferred share, the bank said in a statement.”
Note: Sberbank is State majority owned

“…The report also states that the plane did not issue a distress signal. Three hours after landing, the passengers were transferred to a reserve aircraft and flown to Thailand”
“Three hours after takeoff, an Azur Air flight carrying 334 passengers was forced to return to Moscow. The publication notes that approximately an hour and a half after takeoff, the plane turned around over the Samara region and returned, landing safely at Vnukovo….”
‼️ Russia: “During a flight from Moscow to Phuket [Thailand] the cockpit windshield of a Boeing 767-300 cracked”
Airline: Azur

Note: Russians are NOT happy about the internet restrictions
“…Therefore, those who pay for it simply need to be aware of the potential risks. Similar to the ban on Apple ID payments from two Russian mobile operators, this happened quite quickly, within a week. Therefore, it could last for a few days, or even weeks or months," he said.”
