Some Beats: Munich-based Gimmie Cash has only been releasing music for a year, but these beats are polished as hell. Samples, progression, moodiness, how'd they do this? Never skip a beat tape from Europe, lesson for the day. #realhiphop

What's New: A.G. (aka Andre The Giant from the legendary Digging In the Crates Crew) links with producer Stu Bangas for a Boston meet Bronx collab. A.G. has been killing it for nearly 4 decades, and I can't say he's ever sounded dated or corny. A true legend. Loving this project. #realhiphop
What’s New: Japan’s Budamunk takes a stab at the KPM archives with this excellent remix project featuring Issugi and MR. PUG. What can I say other than the best producers rn are all from Japan. It’s a quick and satisfying listen.
What’s New: I admittedly know nothing about Vancouver-based Marleau, besides the fact this beat tape, titled Straight Goods, is one of my favorites of 2027 thus far #beats #vancouver #hiphop #chill
Thoughts: Upcoming album from A.G. Of DITC sounds like heat. One of the most slept on emcees in hip hop for 35+ years. One of the few artists from the Golden Era that are still doing it without being corny or lame.
Thoughts: Jay-Z is walking into a trap he’s setting for himself, and he doesn’t seem terribly aware of it. His contribution to hip hop is more questionable by the year, and sidestepping accusations of abuse and just the overall bad optics of being chummy with Diddy, R Kelly and Ye ain’t happening.
@warren.senate.gov Sen Warren’s 2¢ tax on billionaires is kind of genius, because maga will always fumble the ball on some basic ass math in their attacks.
Thoughts: Stove God Cooks has fumbled his career, slowly joining the ranks of other never-releasers Jay Elec, E-Rule and Cannibus.

Happy for this guy
Stuck in my head: It’s a spring downpour outside and the mastering of this song pierces through the sound of the rain hitting the windshield just right. One of my first memories of this album was playing it in my Toyota Camry during a spring rainstorm back in 2005. This remains one of my favs.
A horrible nefarious means at that.
Can people not see that this is all a means to bridge the far right and far left?
I only see this online, promoted by questionably “left” folks who wish to manipulate voters. I’ve never met a person who feels this way in real life, and I own a leftist cafe. Every critic of Israel that I have met would happily say that they support Jewish identity, culture and safety.
It needs to be understood that the battle for the ‘single-issue’ leftist voters’ minds is still being waged.
Branding folks — those who criticize a government, but otherwise have no hatred towards Jewish people — as antisemites is putting your own side into submission before the fight has begun.
I’m not saying there isn’t a faction of Tuckers and Ana Kasparians out there trying to yank leftist firebrands into their camp. Peter Thiel gave TYT a free studio during the election, and folks like Hasan are manipulating people. But those aren’t leftists, those are Russian props.
Nearly all perceived antisemitism from the left boils down to being criticism of the Israeli government.
You can’t say it exists meaningfully on the left without acknowledging that it’s the stem of the mindset being dissected.
In lieu of the Israeli govt, anti-Jew mentality isn’t mainstream left
What’s New: E L U C I D’s IGUH2BT is another project thats going to take multiple spins and lyric reviews before I can make a clear judgement personally. But what I can say is that Sebb Bash made a beautiful, ghostly and bass heavy soundscape here.
Hating a religious system is not the same as despising a corrupt state that uses a religious system as a shield for criticism.
It’s the difference between hating Christians vs Christian Nationalists.
What’s New: Kyiv-based producer KLIM Beats dropped an album that is 100% 90s boom bap sound. I love Roc Marciano/Griselda and all they’ve brought to hip hop, but KLIM is what a true boom bap renaissance would sound like. For fans of Lord Finesse.
What’s New: Not a huge Papoose fan, and I can’t stand any of this attention grabbing beef that’s popped up in a post-Drake world… but goddamn Papoose really put a dent in 50 with this one.
Happy #DeLaSoulDay! 3/3 🌼🌼🌼

Stuck in my head: I can’t stress how on point #alchemist was on this. At first I cruised through this album and felt it was a good, even above average project, but damn I’ve had this track run through my head 10-15 times a day. When the planet is going to shit, I’m glad theres #hiphop
After listening: Its a decent, but maybe a little too run of the mill for Alc. Larry June was more of a presence here than he was on last year’s Life is Beautiful. Spitta had some of the best lines on the project. All in all, a pretty good project, glad we got it.
What’s New: Both Veterans of Alc’s previous 2MC 1Producer projects, Larry and Andretti are two of Alchemist’s favorite chess pieces. Spiral Staircases aims to be a foray in smooth and laid back hip hop.
Coffee roaster here — I ask Trump voters all the time what it was that Trump was trying to incentivize me to do. Raising prices has cost me wholesale accounts, which will hurt us for years to come. The damage lands in the hundreds of thousands and I’m only a small local roaster.
