Illustration. Three fairies leisurely enjoy a feast - a japanese beetle with roses, a bumblebee with fruit, and a butterfly with a glass of nectar. Ladybug cherubs join them.

YEAH I TOTALLY AGREE because like! you know its sincere!
I agree with both your comments!
same experience exactly!

...is bsky working? Hello there? Here's a new webcomic page since I was gone...
yeah agree!
It really is a trade off between whether you want to earn money by being popular online or having stable in-industry work. both are hard lmao
The amount of times i get told that in order to find work, I need to learn to draw realistically or within the "art station concept art" style
I can do both. i practice realistic art consistently. The way i draw is a curated choice idk what to tell you lmao.
For sure not invalidating this person's experience, but my own experience has been entirely opposite. "If you box yourself into a style you'll never get any work because studios want you to work with an in-house style and not your own style"
there's block lists dedicated to people with a high follower/following count. I think they're kind of seen akin to spammers.
YEAH I REMEMBER THOSE DAYS TOO!!! It is a weird and chronically online mentality
I WILL SAY. there is something that feels kind of manipulative or disingenuous about it. Not in a true problematic way, but in a way that makes me go like. Ew stop that.
yeah its purely an audience-growth tactic, and it clearly has worked. It feels weird and I con't like it, but i guess its at least not as weird as following someone and then unfollowing them when they follow you back. its like.
girl.
they're haunting us all it seems
yeah, same feelings.
YES SAME LOL
yeah its baiting a follow-back so they can then unfollow you to keep their following to follower ratio low. ITs so sooo weird.
They're doing it on Cara too aparently. Listen, I get it, you gotta grind and algorithms don't work in our favour, and also there is something about it that feels offputting.
yyyep lol
yeah every time without fail lmaoo
I like the idea that its not automated and they just have a full time job liking every single art post under the sun lmao
black sun with an eye on a red background?
The thing that makes it suspicious to me is when it's almost every post from someone who doesn't follow me, i think! I don't really have opinions on whether this is good or bad as i suppose its just taking advantage of a function via automation
immediately had three people seperately idenitfy this artist to me because they're always liking their #art posts too lmao
There's an artist that i'm 99% sure uses a bot to like posts in art feeds, which puts them in your notifications, which drives trafic to their profile, which them a following boost. I'm sure of this because they like my newly posted art 99% of the time and yet have never followed me lmao
Man I did this art of @yanick.fm's oc is ten years ago today. Old.
I have, this sketch is the most recent one. And thank you >:D
