That's good to know! My boyfriend has Mint and we weren't sure so we decided to try Bazzite since I tend to play more PC games than he does. Did you have to manually install any GPU drivers or anything on Mint?

Games I Completed in 2026 #4:
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
I really enjoyed this game. It's my first PS5 game and my first Ratchet and Clank game.
The whole game just feels great to play.
I intend to play some of the older games in the series now.
I've only been on bazzite for an evening and I'm already noticing major improvements so absolutely +1 for being very happy to not be stuck on Windows.
I did tons and tons of research and found out that opinions on distros and such were so vast and varied that when I decided on something I changed my mind from an opinion, but I changed my mind so much that I wasn't doing anything at all. So I finally had to say "fuck it" and just do something lol.
Thanks! Worst case is it doesn't and I have to change distros. I also fully expect people to make comments like "I can't believe you're using KDE and not GNOME on Bazzite ugh" or even just general "You're really using Linux? LOL" comments lol.
Today I made a huge (computer) decision and I'm officially a Linux user now. So far the transition has been seamless and everything I have has worked out of the box sans games which I haven't tried yet. I'm extremely pleased so far though!
We already have 2 cats and boyfriend and roommate are cat people so...no dogs.
All of the movies are randomized based on set terms and pictures. The new releases are all hand made direct references to other movies though so if there's anything Ernest, you'll be told immediately!
Been playing Retro Rewind and having a great time with it. Some highlights:
Waldo keeps showing up and renting Adult films...
I've got some great movies such as Operation Sofa Barn Assault and a holographic printing of Marrying My Hot Dog.
This game is silly and I love it.
It's funny because in the ps3/360 era people thought JRPGs were dying, when in reality there were a lot of creative ones made.
But the problem is, creativity wasn't selling back then, and so a lot of games went unnoticed...at least that's what I think.
Lost Odyssey is the next game on my list of games to hunt for when we go out to used game stores. I've found one copy but it has no case and is in one of those used game store cases where someone only traded in the discs...
OKAY BUT LIKE Lost Odyssey is so damn good too??? The short stories by Kiyoshi Shigematsu and translated by someone from Harvard, the Thousand Years of Dreams, really impacted me as a teenager.
Uggh, that really sucks. I think this was one of the last games I got to play through on my 360 before it bit the rid ring of death.
As if that weren't enough, the ending theme, Kyoutenka/Heaven's Mirror is to this day one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard in a video game. That we got recordings of it in both Japanese and Italian is the icing on the proverbial cake.
Motoi Sakuraba is an amazing composer, but I genuinely believe this is his best work. Combine that with segments that teach the player about the life of Chopin that are historically accurate along with Chopin's music performed by Stanislav Bunin and you get one of the greatest video game OSTs.
One of the most underrated JRPG's and just games in general is easily Eternal Sonata/Trusty Bell. Never mind that it's a tri-crescendo game so you know it has unique mechanics, it's a story all about a dream that famed musician Frederic Francois Chopin had on his deathbed.
Fresh from the pen of his original creator, Kaptain K.Rool returns in an exciting new commission!
Went to a local pizza and arcade place with my boyfriend and they had one of those Playstation Minis. The first thing I played on it was of course Jumping Flash! Muu muu!
Also it's great to meet someone who knows and has played Jumping Flash! I really felt like the only one lol.
I also could've easily replaced one of these with Final Fantasy IX but decided not to because I love a lot of PS1 games...
QTP with your top favorite PSX games!
I can't tell if I'm boring or eclectic. FF7 was the first RPG I'd ever played and I still love it today which is such a generic statement. But then I have the hot opinion of very slightly liking Parasite Eve 2 more than 1...
Every since I was a kid I've always loved the Breath of Fire 2 GBAs battle UI and I'm not sure why. Like I remember seeing the box and the UI and I said "This game is going to be awesome." Is that weird?
GBA is on the left and SNES is on the right for comparison.
I might have to get myself that Ys book...I didn't even know there were novelizations for them! Thanks as always for the work you do by the way!
Also I'm sad RF5 was underwhelming because it has Murakumo in it and he's probably my favorite bachelor based on what I've seen and read about him and he's stuck in an underwhelming game D:
Given the financial success and beloved reception from fans and general audiences, I hope he keeps directing for the games!
RF I felt always had a lot of potential but the only one I played that I really enjoyed was Frontier on Wii...
I did some snooping and Maekawa was also the system designer for SA1 and 2's A-LIFE system...so it makes a lot of sense that he worked on an RF game when you think about it. People do love their Chao raising after all!
Nah you're good bubble cow! I love learning new things about games or connections like this. Plus it seems like other people liked your post a lot so it worked out better that way!
Wait he did Guardians of Azuma!? Dang now I HAVE to play that one...
Thinking about how Shiro Maekawa, who worked on setting and story stuff for Sonic Adventure 2 and Panzer Dragoon Saga directed a Rune Factory game and it totally had these little dragon-back battles in it and a light/dark rivalry thing.
Maybe the next RF should have Saori Kobayashi on music...
under the tree
I didn't expect my post about Panzer Dragoon Saga would inspire something from you that was SoS/RF related lol. Genuinely didn't know about those connections.
Also yes more Saori Kobayashi soundtracks please.
...I kinda wanna play and stream Panzer Dragoon Saga again.
