@duolingoesp.bsky.social seems to have started replacing their weird, wonderful voice cast with AI, and it SUCKS. I’m missing the personality that actors brought to the characters the app uses for storytelling. The flat, generic AI voices = a flat, generic lesson. Can’t believe they don’t get that.

Oh, I see! Well, the biggest reference for me for that recurring love motif was the feeling I get from Roberta Flack's version of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," which absolutely kills me. Iris is constantly thinking back to the first time she saw Josh, and I wanted that kind of aching love.
