it's the concept of "quality over quantity", i suppose. i experience far less by amount or volume, but the richness and depth of what i do experience leaves me feeling full and content. if i can wax about the narrative or themes of a given work for some extended period, i know it was time well spent

i've not gotten through nearly as many games as a lot of my peers.... i move pretty slow through the stuff i do play. but, i feel i'm able to recall the things i did and the experiences i've had, the meanings i've gathered from those things much easier.

i encourage people to take their time with the media they love and enjoy. i encourage them to soak in it, and to rewatch/read/play/listen to it as much as you need to pull the meanings you want from it. do not consume for consumption's sake; art is not gruel to fill your stomach.
