I love to write cool things for PCs to do in ttrpgs. The idea of giving someone everything they need to make incredible gameplay moments happen feels awesome.
I will never understand the fear DnD causes in people of allowing the PCs to be too strong or too cool or have any fun.

Some exceptions are gifts, functional design (the book might include unfoldable maps or inserts), add-ons (a deck of cards. e.g.), and Kickstarters I am really into.
On average, I buy PDFs for affordability and then the physical books for quality of content I already like and want the best copy of.
