why oh why is it necessary to explain what’s bad about pushing to *replace* income tax with wealth tax, instead of y’know, expanding the tax base so everyone feels invested in society. “tax wealth NOT work” is a perversion of progressive taxation + frames tax as a penalty rather than a contribution.

The argument against footnotes and in favour of endnotes was that they were more expensive to typeset. Seems unlikely this holds any more. Would be very good to go back.

it's actually quite upsetting that you're required to have a certificate to prove your English adequacy, then enrolled into a university and studied there no different from a local. only then to witness constant headlines with rancid energy towards your existence.
